Lauren had been in love with one person for the last year.. yet she could never tell this person. Chloe poked her head around the door of the room she shared with one of her best friends, Lauren. "Oi, sleepy head, little hand here" She called, as she attempted to haul a couple of large shopping bags in through the door.

It was early, about mid morning and, up first as always, Chloe had gone out to see if she couldn’t rustle up a few supplies, drink, the occasional snack that sort of thing. She seemed to have come back prepared for a party more than anything, but her excuse was better to be over prepared than not at all. All in all it was a wonder that Chloe could get up early in the mornings when she was almost without fail, out partying the night before. Only her and her stamina seemed to be able to cope with it. She’d taken Lauren out with her last night ... it was no wonder the girl wasn’t up to join her in the traditional saturday mid morning shopping spree.

“Have a good sleep, lover?” She said, joking around as they always did with each other. How was she to know the feelings Lauren hid from her?

Lauren heard her roommates call from her bedroom... and sat up running her fingers through her hair. She wondered how Chole did this every day, party and then get up and do her usual early routine.

Lauren usually never missed there shopping sprees, but she had been overly tired this morning, so she opted to stay in bed.. she yawned as she sat up, wearing a tight tank-top and short shorts. She walked into the living room to helped her friend. ''God what did you do buy the whole store?'' She asked in a light giggle.

''I had a very good sleep thank-you, you should try it sometimes.'' She said teasing her friend as she so often did... sometimes it got so hard for Lauren to hide her feelings that she wanted to move, but couldn't cause it wouldn't be right.

Chloe didn’t think for a second on what her friend was wearing. Hell, she saw Lauren in her tank tops and tiny shorts all the time, and Chloe herself often wore that or even less around their little ‘apartment’ as it were. “Pfft! I tried to but they wouldn’t let me… something about needing enough for every other customer who shops there … I dunno …” She joked, one of her sweet giggles slipping passed her lips.

“Oh I heard that people who sleep less live longer. True story. 'Sides I have places to see, people to do” She said with a giggled as she teased Lauren with her play on words. They soon got the shopping in and put to the side and Chloe jumped over the back of the couch with her surprising grace and laid back, with a sigh. “Those bags were soooo digging in to my hands … it was terrible.”

“So … sleeping beauty … what d’you wanna do now I’ve got that shopping done for the week?” She screwed her face up slightly in annoyance, “It’s so warm in here … what have you been doing to steam the place up” She said with a chuckled as she disappeared into her room, reappearing within moments in nothing but a old t-shirt and her cute little heart-print panties. Usual ‘around the house’ wear for her it must be said, nothing Lauren hadn't een 'forced' to see any other day of the week.

Lauren and Chloe didn't hide anything from one another they were best friends, and had been roommates for the last three years, so they didn't care what they wore around one another, Lauren didn't need to care Chloe would never feel the same as she had. Lauren laughed at the joke Chloe made, ''Somehow I can see that with you.'' She said giggling herself as she shook her head and sat on the edge of the sofa.

Lauren watched her as they put the grocery's away, dammit she thought to herself, she drove herself crazy, Chloe was spunky, adorable, sexy and carefree. ''You usually do, you know how to drive a man insane.'' She was tempted to say and me to but didn't.

''I don't know I didn't make plans today, maybe go grab some lunch... I was planning on going to the mall, I wanted to get some new cloths.'' Chloe knew that Lauren had a major cloths and shoe shopping fetish. ''Or anything you like.'' She said as if she was thinking of something else. ''Want a coffee?'' She asked as she walked to the kitchen damn outfit drove her crazy... Chloe sighed into the kitchen, behind her best friend. Roommates for the past three years, friend since, well … forever, they had even grown up together. They had been apart for a few years, but this apartment had brought them together once more. “Coffee sounds awesome,” She said, slipping behind Lauren as the girl went for the coffee. Chloe was standing unbearably, one hand on Lauren’s shoulder, her chest to her friends back … yet all innocent, it would seem.

They had always been friends Lauren thought almost like sisters, but when lauren and her moved in together thats when Lauren got these crazy feelings, and she didn't understand them, one she wasn't attracted to other woman, two she had been with her own fair share of men, not that her and Chloe were sluts.. but neither were virgins, so Lauren didn't know what the hell she was feeling, all she knew is when Chloe was close her breath seemed to catch, and she felt weak. Lauren snapped back to reality and made the coffee.

''I know what you mean.'' Lauren said hald agreeing, she was right and Lauren knew that Chloe didn't really throw herself on men, and she couldn't help that she was the type of woman anyone would want. Lauren shook her head... ''Right you can't help your so irresitable.'' She said giggling as she looked at her softly.

Lauren had that feeling again, that same feeling of love and admiration for her best friend, but Chloe could never know. She handed her, a cup and smiled.

Lauren shook her head and laughed... ''You truly are one of a kind.'' She said pouring coffee in her glass... As Lauren thought about how Chloe was a sweet, and funny, yet sometimes not smart in ways of the world but smart when it came to books and friendship. Lauren was always the level headed one perhaps she shouldn't be all the time..

Chloe remembered all the good times she had shared with Lauren when they were kids. There was the terrorising the neighbourhood, all the girly little sleepovers they had held for all their little friends. The kind where all they would talk about was oys and fashion. Chloe had been the first of the pair to grow out of that, and in to being a teenager. They still, never the less terrorised the place. It was just slightly different now. They had shared all the little ups and downs of life with each other.

It was a shame when they had to part for those couple of years. Her mother and father wanted to go back to Japan to meet their family again, and Chloe just had to go meet the grandparents … She refused but in the end it was set, she was going and that was that. Upon moving in together Chloe had told Lauren all about that little trip, but she had left out one of the most imports things. Her ‘friend’ Chi. Chloe wasb't as much of the straight girl as her friend had always thought her. But no, Lauren couldn’t find out.

She smiled at her friends little comment, “Awww you’re so sweet,” Chloe announced leaning down to Lauren to give her friend a quick kiss on the cheek. However in moments she had slipped slightly … her angle was altered … instead of the kiss landing on Lauren cheek as planned, Chloe was stuck with the task of explain why she had just managed to kiss her best friend on the lips.

She pulled back, and chuckled nervously, she ran a hand through her hair and slipped, “Uhmm sorry …” She hopped off the counter and grabbed her coffee, escaping to the other room as fast as she could with out tripping herself up.

Chloe found herself gently touching her own lips, her fingers grazing over the soft skin, the most awkward thing about having just kissed her best friend on the lips, so, unexpectedly and rather passionately, was the fact that she actually found herself having enjoyed the contact.

Somehow Lauren always knew Chloe and herself would find there way back to each other... but Lauren didn't think she'd end up wanting more from the girl she grew up with and shared most of her life with. Chloe never was very subtle when she felt she had done something wrong, if only she knew how right it had felt to lauren... ''No reason to be.'' Lauren said a little to nonchalant but she didn't want her friend to think that Lauren thought she meant it. ''I moved.'' lauren said with a soft chuckle.

Lauren wondered why Chole seemed so upset, it hadn't meant anything to her and it was a accident, but it meant everything to Lauren. ''Clo... I am goign to take a shower... you need anything?'' She asked gently not mentioning what just happened hoping she hadn't hurt her in any way.

Japan had been a weird place for Chloe; she never quite knew what was going to happen next. Her grandma was always trying all these herbal teas on her granddaughter. They were called the weirdest things ever, and always seemed to make her want to go to sleep. They oddest sound one had to have been something like ‘the woman with a hundred husbands’ … what was the old lady trying to suggest about Chloe.

Chi was the greatest friend Chloe had made out there, and she would never forget the girl … the things that little Japanese bombshell had shown her. It had been amazing knowing her, someone like herself, someone who could keep up with Chloe’s American ways. Most of all she had been the one to open her eyes to the wonders of the female form as an alternative to the male. If Lauren knew what had happened what would she have thought of her? Lauren noticed her friend seemed to be having a million thoughts but lauren was never one to pry unless she wanted to talk..Lauren thought of the time they were apart it was her lonliness time, but still she met some amazing men, who showed her passion but never love and thats what Chloe was to her love.

Her feelings were becoming harder and harder to hide, but she had to, one not because she really cared about herself but she didn't want to upset her friend, and besides she stressed that in her own mind it would ruin there friendship.

What was wrong with Chloe, Lauren knew her better than anyone what on earth had suddenly gotten into her... ''Are you okay?'' She asked in her caring and gentle tone as she looked at her softly her heart racing she was indeed a true beauty she thought to herself.

She got even more started when Chloe asked if she could join her it was something they had done before, not recently but before, and it wasn't as if they hadn't seen each other naked before anyway, so she nodded her head they had glass doors on the shower and it was big enough for two so Lauren didn't mind, but it would be harder to hide her growing lust of her friend.

She had said that that was nothing and that it didn't bother her, but the cute asian couldn't help but wonder what was realy up...

Lauren knew when something was bothering Chloe and clearly something was really bothering her, but she knew Chloe well enough to know if she didn't talk about it she really didn't want it to be known.

Lauren's mind was spinning and she wasn't sure how to get it to stop, clearly the kiss was just a pure accident, but Lauren wanted more... and soon she knew she would have to tell Chloe, but not now... not today.. they needed to wait, and Lauren just wasn't ready but in a day or so, she knew she would have to, hence she drive herself insane.

Lauren was the first into the bathroom, her mind was still spinning and her heart was beating like a drum, or it felt that way at least. She took a deep breath and awaited her friend to walk in... she had that look of nervousness about her, she was gently biting her lip... the only thing she ever did when she was embaressed or shy.

Lauren had to get these thoughts from her mind, before she truly did drive herself insane.

Lauren laughed a little more nervous at Chloes joke than she usually did. She nodded her head and when Chloe removed her shirt Lauren did the same, her heart racing what was she getting herself into.

Chloe had never been the most subtle of girls, and that hadn't stopped to day. All those tell tale signs that she was slightly aprihensive, shy and embarressed, could be seen. The lingering glances to the floor, the way she nervously bit her lip. She'd gotten the same look in her eyes last week when she had been talking to Lauren about this guy she wanted.

A smile graced Chloe's lips as her friend began to slowly strip off. She could tell that her friend was nervous, hell Choe was too, but Chloe found herself unable to stop staring at Lauren's wonderful body and, oh look at that, she had shaved. She tooka deep breath glad Chloe had spoke so the awkward silence wasn't horrible now. ''Maybe we'll rent some movies too.'' Lauren said gaining more courage now that Chloe had spoken up to. She smiled her same caring smile that she always did while looking at her friend.

Lauren bit her lips when Chloe asked her to move back some... ''Umm.. yeah we do.'' She said witha nervous chuckle.

"Mmm a movie sounds like a good idea too" Chloe said with one of her usual smiles. For some reason now Lauren was in the shower with her and the warm water was washing over them, as if the water was washing it away, she no longer felt just as embarressed or scared as she had been a few seconds a go. Sure she wasn't back to usual Chloe, in fact she seemed quieter, shyer perhaps.

She nodded as her friend agreed to move closer, so they could both get some of the water. Chloe found herself giggling as Lauren didn't move from the spot she had been rooted to since stepping in.

"Don't be so nervous, Laurie, we haven't got anything neither of us haven't seen before" Chloe winked and, placing her hands gentaly on Lauren's hips pulled her closer. Their bodies were amost touching now ... no more than half an inch between them. If little miss oriental had been more like herself she might have boldly reached up a hand and jokingly groaped her, but after what had happened earier in the kitchen ... she just ... couldn't.

Once more, she couldn't help but take a quick glance down at Lauren's wonderful breasts, "You seen the soap, Love?" Chloe stuttered as an excuse for her being able to look down more.

She didn't really budge even after she agreed to move close to her... she took a long deep breath and bit her lip, she was quite nervous and knew that it showed.

Lauren giggled at Chloes comment, what the hell was wrong with her, if she didn't play it cool Chloe would soon know that Lauren wanted her in a very bad way, and Lauren just wasn't ready for that yet. She did smile at her though when she pulled her closer.

''Behind me.'' She said in a whisper wanting this shower to be over soon, before she screamed and couldn't take much more... she reached behind her and handed it to Chloe.

Chloe nodded and leaned forward to take the soap from Lauren, the short distance she had moved causing their bodies to touch, skin to skin. "Sooo ... We stil shopping or would you prefer to just stay in order some food and watch a couple of movies?" She grinned, with her modesty, mildly, restored her usual personality seemed to return, "Call it a quiet girl's night in or something like that"

Wow Lauren thought to herself when Chloe bent over and gave her quite a eyeful, if only she knew how stunningly beautiful she really was... she told herself to come back to earth once again.

''I think I want to just stay in have a bottle of wine, buy some movies off tv order in.'' She said and smiled... ''First I want to get dressed.'' She said and giggled becoming herself once again.

She walked out of the bathroom swaying her hips, in a rather exaggerated way. It was Chloe-style teasing pure and simple, but did she know what she was doing to Lauren? That had yet to be found out ...
