Instead of taking out a page in the New York Times, I decided to just write here cuz it's free.

Writing to wish my girlfriend a happy anniversary and thank her for putting up with me for a whole year!!

I love you with all my heart, Lauren, my special lil babe.

Kisses

Kate, xxx

OMG! You're going to make me cry, Katie!

Thank you for the best year of my life. I love you. :heart:

Happy anniversary!
I'll make sure of it tonight :devil:

Dear Lauren and Katers,

The day after you two met, I saw Kate in the chat room and she pmed me in a state of total mania, telling me she had just met the most amazing women and she was "in love." (Yep. In lurve the very next day. Well, we know our Kate's an ebulliant girl.)

I said uh huh, uh huh. She's gorgeous; she's a genius; she's incredibly talented. Uh huh, uh huh. Then I met Lauren. Holy shit! I wanted her, too. Of course as it turned out, I got her as the best darling friend and poetical-like colleague I could find. I told Kate "She's everything you said; if you mess up, I'll fly to England and kill you." Lol. What a pal, huh?

I really think I can't get through the day anymore without at least a hello to you two. Kate is the first friend I made online, and we've been laughing and talking ever since. And Lauren is the best critic of my poems--she sees and helps me with almost every one that shows up here. She deserves some credit for whatever success I have.

I totally adore you both (but you know that). Happy Anniversary to my two favorite Literotica women (even if we're not having the threesome for wp :)). Have a wonderful day and a gazillion more anniversaries together.

:heart: :rose: :kiss:

Hugs and kisses you two. So how are you going to celebrate, besides the naughty stuff, unless you want to talk about that. ;)

Hmmm... Start a new thread (for the naughty stuff, of course).

;)

PS - Happy Anniversary!

It's Written In The Stars

it’s written in the wind
that we’re two
carved out in the sand
that we’re real
it’s lit up in the stars
that we’re true
we’re destined in the sky
to be glad

we’re hopelessly informed
that we’re meant
we’re conscious of the fact
that we’re supposed
to be so sure
and we are
we’re driven by the
rain to act

we’re suspect to the laws
passed for real
when we’re the realest
thing we’ve seen
taken by the hand from above
I really do feel
we work for love

and it’s written in the stars
meant for us
soaked into the sand
made by time
taken by the hand from above
I really do feel
that we work for love

it’s written in the wind
that we’re two
carved out in the sand
that we’re real
it’s lit up in the stars
that we’re true
we’re destined in the sky
to be glad

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Always for the first time
by Andre Breton
Always for the first time
Hardly do I know you by sight
You return at some hour of the night to a house at an angle to my window
A wholly imaginary house
It is there that from one second to the next
In the inviolate darkness
I anticipate once more the fascinating rift occuring
The one and only rift
In the facade and in my heart
The closer I come to you
In reality
The more the key sings at the door of the unknown room
Where you appear alone before me
At first you coalesce entierly with the brightness
The elusive angle of a curtain
It's a field of jasmine I gazed upon at dawn on a road in the vicinity of Grasse
With the diagonal slant of its girls picking
Behind them the dark falling wing of the plants stripped bare
Before them a T-square of dazzling light
The curtain invisibly raised
In a frenzy all the flowers swarm back in
It is you at grips with that too long hour never dim enough until sleep
You as though you could be
You pretend not to know I am watching you
Marvelously I am no longer sure you know
Your idleness brings tears to my eyes
A swarm of interpretations surrounds each of your gestures
It's a honeydew hunt
There are rocking chairs on a deck there are branches that may well scratch you in the forest
There are in a shop window in the rue Notre-Dame-de-Lorette
Two lovely crossed legs caught in long stockings
Flaring out in the center of a great white clover
There is a silken ladder rolled out over the ivy
There is
By my leaning over the precipice
Of your presence and your absense in hopeless fusion
My finding the secret
Of loving you
Always for the first time
This wasn't written about Lauren, but can you believe smithpeter posted this as non-erotic?
Still, it seems to fit in this Lauren adoration thread. (I love this poem)
Dogwood
Not in point or concept
Would any but a fool
Attempt to sway a delicate
White pink flower to a cage
Already in custody of the
Loving branches, in turn
Possessions of the trunk
For whom she sports
A cleft between
Her luscious lower petals
Holding her to light
The slender stems bring
Nourishment, umbilicals
Of life, till the need is met
Dropped, folded, renewal
Foolish too to capture,
Cut, snap or twist her free
To die in vessel clay
Or glass, looking forlornly
Over the edge, drowning
You know, you're right about this poem: it's erotic and tender and beautiful, and expresses so perfectly the danger of holding on too tight. I find sometimes with sp's poems (well with various writers on occasion) that I don't realize at first how good they are.
You've mentioned this poem two or three times, kdoggie, and I'm glad you have--I'm beginning to see why you like it so much. Thanks for the--however unintentional--persistence.
