Here's the link to the page where "Patti" is listed: http://www.fantasies.com/viewauthorinfo.asp?authorid=2929

I suggest other authors check the site for their stories.

Everytime this happens an onslaught of e-mails to the site owners usually does the trick. Here's their address: WebMaster@Fantasies.com.

I plan to give them my usual rant. If your stories are stolen (or if you just feel like dping it anyway), I suggest you e-mail the dopes -- sternly, but politely. No sense starting a war.

Just a quick question, how do you know whether or not your stories have been taken?

Dumb luck on finding one?

I routinely do an Internet search for the titles of my stories. I did one this morning after this whole Ego thing came out, and found this new site.

I've also learned to ocassionally do a search for a phrase or sentence from the middle of my story, because some sites eliminate or change the titles, but it's it's unlikely that they're going to go in and rewrite the actual body of the work.

I was lucky to find what I think is a preview page of some sort where just the title "Teaching Patti" and a description is posted.

Bastards.

I just looked at that link again. What it is is an Author's Page, listing all the stories she "wrote". Her name is GreenPlastic and she claims to have also written the stories "Shower Scene", "Bar Close", and "Snap Crack Slap". Any of these sound familiar?

I can't seem to get beyond that first page...

The only links that are activated are

Contact Us

I suppose as I'm not charging for my stories at the moment it doesn't really matter so long as my copyright notice is still there.

How did you find you story on the site?

You have to sign up to get the links to work.

I signed up, and it said it was free, just so I could look around.

Okay, first of all, I just checked, and my story "Teaching Patti" has been removed. At least it's been removed from GreenPlastic's author page. So I give credit to the site for acting quickly to my e-mail.

I found the story by doing a web search for "Teaching Patti", and found the page.

You have to Register to get all the other options to work. Registering there is the same as registering here. It's free, apparently.

I just received this e-mail. I told them I would inform Literotica of how quickly and professionally they handled this:

Dear Dixon Carter Lee,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

We have immediately removed your story from our site. Since it was submitted from a user of our site, we trust that stories submitted to us are from the authors themselves.

We apologize for this and hope you will consider being a member of our site.

Regards,
Webmaster

A decent enough reply.

Probably a decent crowd running it.

:)

I just checked the site again, and GreenPlastic (the thief) has had ALL her stories removed.
Heh-heh.
