I've been reading some of the flack from some people here since evidentally the "unregistered"s are not able to post here any longer.

I say....it's not about censorship....or about anything other than the simple fact that this place belongs to Laurel and Manu. It's no different than if you were in their home.

If they wanted you to remove your shoes....it's your option: Take them off, or don't come in. Fair, right?

I'm all for freedom of speech...but some are forgetting here that this is a FREE site, owned by these fine people...and if they care to impose rules on the usage of this place, who are we to bitch about it?

I don't remember one bill coming to my door for the use of Literotica.

I say....enjoy what we have....and if you don't like it, noone's asking you to stay. <shrug>

The unreg postings never bothered me - it sometimes spiced up a thread but I know some people did get upset by the constant trolling

It doesn't. You can still say whatever you care to. Free Speech still reigns supreme here. People can come and go and piss and moan and flirt and antagonize just as they could before.

I don't see the downside.

Have you ever read a single of Laurel's posts? This is NOT what she said she wanted the board to be about.

This board WAS a place where adults could come and say and do anything they wanted with the most minimal of rules and over the last few weeks it's changed dramatically into something else.

Hanns didn't win by making everyone leave the board, he won by breaking our backs, by getting people to whine and complain until it became too much of a headache.

Am I for anarchy or for censorship? That's basically what you're boiling it down to. If you are asking that particular question...give me the censorship. But, we are not censored here. You can still say whatever the hell you want to. I can call you a "lilly-livered-catfish-licking-potato-fucker" if I want. Noone is raising a red flag and giving me a "time out" over here.

Just because the Unregs are not here any longer does *Not make this place an MSN or Yahoo like place. That's just shortsighted.

I'd take the meager regulations that are imposed over us on this site over a "chaos" atmosphere anyday.

And...the glory part is....if you don't like the restrictions, and you like it the way it *was, you can always start up your own site. Have at it. Call it "LiteroticaTheWayItUsedToBe.com" for all I care. It's your right.

Just like it's Laurel's right to run her "place" the way she wants to.

I realize this. Her hand was forced. But at the same time...I don't consider it a bad thing.

Truth be told...I see the day in the not too distant future when this change is reverted back to the way it was.

My point is.........it's HER site. Let her run it the way she wants to. If she decided to change the forum rules once a week....it's her right. <shrug>
