you can thank me later.

you should make the discussion boards a pay-to-play endeavor. some nominal fee, nothing too large, US $3 or something that members would have to pay to be able to register.

the multi-banned posters would have to pay a fee every time they come back from the dead, the multi-alt posters would have to pay to maintain their multiple identities. the people on here who scream about people who receive entitlements for free can't object, can they? the people who swear that they and their stories are the reason the site survives at all would now have to come on here and pay to peddle their tat. and, best of all, you make some small change for dealing with the daily bullshit!

the privilege of posting stories would remain free. i think it's genius.

Hair-brained idea.

They cannot ban VPNs, how are they going to "tax" them...

;)

... and will they do it without representation? :p

Or they could figure out how to ban people permanently and then implement it.

Start with GrandpaBill. Just saw his newest alt
today. I think he has made over 200+ alts.

At least you know within the first few words that it's him.

The problem is that it's a crapshoot when the mods will ban him. I've reported him to the mods in the past and it might be a few days or two or three weeks before they finally dropped the banhammer. Then he creates a new alt a few days later and the stupid loop starts over.

Obviously, banning is not the solution.
The "criminals" will always find a workaround.

Think about it...

He's talking about paying to register. For most folks, it's "one and done".

For the serial ban-hammered, it becomes a cost issue.

Are you this ignorant in "real life"?

S'up with all that anyways?
It seems rather bizarre behaviour. Is he trying to make some sort of point or simply trying to increase membership numbers for some inane reason? 🤷

At 3 bucks a pop thats still only 600 over the years...really not a show stopper unless you're on food stamps like lance or BB:D:D:D

and busy could likely get trump to pay for him

i knew i should have included a diagram for the reading impaired! and unfortunately, i think this is his 'real life'.

The whole premise is silly. Pay to stop certain people from posting. Basically.

When the iggy button is already here and free.

The GB is interesting in that topics other than sex are often discussed here. I've been a member of other forums on various news sites, and in every instance, when they threw up a paywall, the forum(s) died.

paying to register doesn't stop anyone from posting. it just means that the serially banned and the multi-alt slimebags will have to cough up repeatedly to maintain their anti-social status. the site is free and the privilege of posting here is badly abused. people who are not subject to repeated bannings and shifting identities would pay a one time token fee to be able post. do you find it silly or are you just reluctant to pay multi posting fees?

Well said.
