I didn't find this by doing a search for my titles or by looking for sentences in the story, but by doing a search for my Lit Author name.

My story Tara on a Tear appears on a site called Concept-Q. I can't remember, but I think they've posted some of my stories in the past (maybe even this one). I think it's a German site with English text. Here's the link: http://concept-q.com/en/show/10/810/0.html

You all might want to look for your stories there.

How rude.

I'm a fan of Jar-Jar Binks and I can kick your ass. Consider that before laughing at me. Or with me.

DCL. Language on the site is Dutch.

Well, it's happened so much that I've lost my indignation. Now it's just annoying. Once they're caught they take the story down right away. What annoys me, though, is that these are just the sites I catch. Usually I can catch them because they use the stories in their "free" area to entice people to join their site. But there must be plenty of "Member" areas I can't access, and I'm sure my stories are out there somewhere.

Looks like Deutsch. Thanks.

By the way, the site is horrible screwed up. Don't make yourself crazy searching for your stories there. Just do a Google search for your author name, and see if Concept-Q comes up.

Easy for you to say. I have to wade through about 100 pages worth of muffin recipes (they're all killer, you know), tributes to the king of british drum and bass (he's got a song called killermuffin), and reviews of a grade triple z movie (attack of the killer muffins).

I should have called myself fgrvb1.

I hadn't thought of that! If you have a name like "Muffin" or "Starfish" or "April" how the fuck to do a decent search?

You could use the Advanced Google search to include words like "erotic" and exclude words like "bake", "ocean" and "calendar".

LOL! Sorry KM. It has to a name you can spell the same every time.

Ha! On the flip side i will never have to worry about anyone ripping off my stories!

Life is give and take in some areas.

I've got some funky good titles. Some I could care less about, but some stories--the ones with good titles--pop hot on google more often than my name does.

Tara on a Tear by JoeFuckTwat isn't going to happen in a google for Dixon Carter Lee.

What I'd like to know is how to get into a paysite's archives to see if there's been any plagiarism without pay 19.95 for a month's subscription.

This happens so much.

Has anyone gone back and check that Yahoo group that took the name.... Literotica?

I joined to see if it was harmless, and then quit. I think though that someone should check in and make sure they are not stealing from us.

With my name, you simply can't do a search unless you have days to do nothing but sift. So I don't. It sucks though.

jebus..how the hell could you sort through all that...

Sheesh...put my lit name in and poof! I find out that its an actual day that is celebrated.

I didnt know I was famous. ;)

DCL I know how you feel...my story Wesley's Woman Chapter 1 was linked onto a page called fark.com. I wrote them a nice email asking them to remove the link and expressing that I wasn't comfortable with them linking an adult story on a non-adult site beyond the fact that they didn't ask my permission.

I just checked back today and it's still in their archive. I have progressed to a not so nice email ordering them to remove it. We'll see what happens.

I totally felt violated and I'm still pissed about it.

Keep your e-mails nice.

Tell them you're also going to contact their server and advertisers, and then do exactly that. (All those links can be found right on their homepage -- click them and send them each a very nice, and very detailed, e-mail.)

If you've given Laurel or anyone else "exclusivity" rights, let them know, and they'll help you.

Thanks for the heads up. We will send them a warning.

As far as pay sites go, we sign up for trials all the time to check for stolen stories. Most crappy paysites seem to just steal old Usenet stories, where no one knows who actually owns them. If you have any suspicions about a specific paysite, drop me a PM and we will be happy to sign up and check it for shenanigans.

Also, I'll email fark.com about Wesley's Woman as well.

Thanks again for keeping an eye open. :)

Woops! Forgot to mention this...

If you ever want to use Google to search for your stories, or anything else, on a specific website, you can enter the following in the Google search box:

keyword keyword site:domain.com

So, if you want to search for the term "Literotica" on Concept-q, you enter:

literotica stories site:concept-q.com

That Google trick is always helpful when searching a specific website. :)

Owen doesn't kiss other boy kitties!!

Not that he has anything against boy kitties who DO kiss other boy kitties. It's just not his thing. :)
