I can totally see your points, Laurel (well, it is much colder in London, afterall - LOL).

LOL! No kidding...I think everyone in London saw my points...I will say this: you all deal with rain MUCH better than us here in So Cal. The slightest drizzle and we run for cover, yet you Londoners just carry on even in serious rain.

I really really really liked London. I could definitely live there. Tons of good little restaurants, gorgeous parks (HUGE! and full of daffodils and tulips!), friendly people, public transportation even if it a mess (haha! just missed the strike! and you folks could take a lesson from the Swiss on how to run the tube and the trains on time, but I'll rant on that later), and lots of things to do.

The Scottish rule as well. I went to a Scottish wedding and it was a blast. Kilts, bagpipes, lots of drinking afterwards...Scottish breakfast is absolutely vile. And I have difficulty understanding Scottish people, especially when they've been drinking. But their accents weren't as strong as the Irish...we took a train to Dublin for a day or two and I didn't understand one thing our cabbie said.

What do you mean Scottish breakfast is vile? What's wrong with deep fried marsbars and sheeps intestines for breakfast? Wash it down with ten pints of whisky and that's you nicely set up for the day. :)
