Bonjour, Madam Cliterotica. Can we have a Non-Erotic story category? I've been working on non-erotic stuff recently that I'd love to post and I know others, like Creamy Lady, have some mainstream fiction too that I'm sure they'd love to post here.

I don't think it needs to be divided down any further into genres (like "crime", "science fiction", or whatever), 'cause that's too limiting. But the little one-line summation on the New Stories page could mention what kind of story it is (if it fits into a genre, which I don't think any of my new stories do).

Sure, that's a great idea! It's up. Feel free to submit to it. If it gets too crowded, we may down the line break it into genres - historical, humor & satire, drama, whatever. We'll burn that bridge when we come to it.

Haha, Dvora. Hope you realise I only did it to up the stakes in your little multi-category competition. Pretty soon, Laurel-ay-lou is going to be setting up my other suggestions:

~Surrealistic semi-autobiography (incorporating elements of Gonzo and other new-journalistic techniques)
~South American Magic Realism (to be written in Spanish or Portuguese)

and

~Shakespearian Blank Verse (which should be made up of rigid un-rhyming iambic pentameter)
