I think bullshit like this Policeware thing only makes me want to use Linux more and more. Not that it will help but I hope that the burgeoning movement of people more computer literate than myself to fight this kind of thing with freeware and the like is promising.

I actually do email my Congresspeople a few times a year about something. I think it is important to let them know that there is a pool of intelligent voters out there that are paying attention to what goes on with the government.

If you really want to throw a wrench in all this shit buy from small record labels, such as Kill Rock Stars, Alternative Tentacles, Dischord, Up Records and many others. They provide websites of interest, cheaply priced CDs and your money goes to the artist and the label. You dont pay for advertising and limos.

Sometimes i have to fight the urge to burns copies of all the music I have and give them away just to spite the miserable bastards 'cause for fucksakes I STILL buy discs by bands I like.
