latest covid scare - loss of taste and smell could be a symptom.

was watching nurses and carers from the carehome in washington that had such a catastrophic covid19 experience early on... they said they didn't notice sniffs and runny noses as symptomatic (things seemed about the same) but for those who got in real trouble they all had very red eyelids and the skin around their eyes and then the coughing. not reddened whites of the eyes, but the skin. they said every single one of those who went on to die displayed that symptom.

sounds like hilsborough syndrome. Either that or the staff were selecting who would die based on a method of their chosing. "red eyes tonight, sweet dreams"

It's CRAZY how many countries have decided to go into total lockdown over the last few days. Even f...g India.
Some countries have also changed their rules of social distancing from 2 meters to 10 meters.

I wonder if all these draconian measures have to do not just with the Italy/Spain disaster, but also with the latest research.

or it could be they've seen a country like china (with approx 1.4 billion people) manage to contain (reported) cases and deaths to less than 82,000 and 3,300 (respectively) by use of draconian and coordinated governmental action, compared to italy, america, and spain where cases are rising exponentially after delayed social distancing and self-quarantining?

fuckssake--that's real bitter humour

fuckssake--that's real bitter humour

nah, the bitters are city, pronounced citeh.

the liverpool echo site is full of rabid scousers, aka bin dippers, granny shaggers et al. their humour perfectly fits the definition "when it happens to me, its a tragedy, when it happens to someone elsee its comedy" if it happens to a scouser it usually ends up in 25 years of public inquiries, court cases the lot.

Try their site, then for a bigger laugh go to RAWK , (red and white kop) funny without even trying. Drummer phil and his dog thread went on for months .....

I heard two, maybe three medical professionals today say

that those, indeed are symptoms...

Who knows?

smells a bit fishy to me.

seemingly being tired or worried are also symptoms.

now why would anyone be worried, tired and /or lose appetite in this situation.

I live in the Bootheel; nowhere near the high density centers of KC, St. Louie or Columbia.

I live in a heavily populated part of SoCal but I have a lot of space between me and the neighbors and I'm alone in the house at least four days a week. The neighborhood seems to be pretty well disciplined towards sheltering in place. I think things are improving in the supply chain. I went to the store yesterday and found almost everything I was shopping for. However I have to admit there were some empty shelves but I wasn't in need of everything either.
