After closing up the library and all the staff placed the returned books away, Alice let her employees head out for the night. She still had a few things she needed to finish before she could go home. The Library was pretty much her second home. Sometimes she would stay after hours reading. The library was already quiet during the day, but there was something about being in the building completely alone that appealed to her.
As she locked the door, she turned around to see a far away light flick on. Her brows furrowed. She thought everyone had left already to go home. "Hello?" She called out. Maybe she forgot someone? Did Sam work today? "Come on, it's late and I don't want to be here for too much longer." She really hoped it was Sam. Slowly she crept in further to the library and into the same area where the light turned on, in the DVD section. There was no one.
The building was pretty old, and her co-workers would joke about the place being haunted. Alice had been there for so long, she doubted there were any ghosts hanging around, not that she believed in ghosts. She mused that maybe the light switch had always been on and the old wiring was just acting up. She flipped the switch on the wall down and the light was gone.
