Jessica was kneeling down at her locker, the halls buzzing with her classmates and a few teachers moving in between the crowds. South Valley High was always busy at this time of day, the period right after lunch. Replacing her books she was finally able to zipper up her backpack, tossing it on her back as she stood up. She glanced in the small mirror that was hanging on her door and fixed her hair. Slamming her locker shut, she glanced at her watch.

"Shit." she cursed to herself, realizing that yet again she would be late for her class. The teacher had warned her not to be late again or she'd be staying in after school. Groaning she slowly walked down the halls to her next class, figuring if she was late then might as well take her time getting there.

After a little while she finally arrived, the teacher was sitting at his desk and glanced up as she walked in. He gave her a look like 'I'll see you after school.' The rest of the day went bye fairly quickly, and she found herself sitting in a desk as the sun outside shown down on the soccer field, her classmates outside practicing for their game Saturday.
