Last night, while searching for a b'day card, I found an unused box of 64 crayons....

I remember buying them several years ago, at a particularly low point in my life. I bought them because I never had them when I was a child. I looked at the crayons and smiled. Finally, as an adult, I realized that "stuff" is not what makes me happy, anymore.

I put the crayons back on the shelf where I found them. One day I'll bring them out again; when I have children at my home.

When I was pregnant with my oldest, I went through a coloring phase. I bought like 7 or 8 new coloring books, and went for the realllllly big box of like 96 crayons, and I would color at night to relax. When Raegan was born, our bedroom had pictures hanging all around it of disney babies. I even took the crayons and book with me to the hospital when I was in labor. I remember I woke up aorund 5 am in labor, and was coloring for about an hour in bed before anyone else woke up. I loved to color. It was nice and relaxing.

You've found a treasure! I still color like mad, it's wonderful therapy. Though I used colored pencils now, much more refined. ;)

I'm surprised how many people are using e-bay to sell old crayolas. I never knew there was such a market for them!

Do you remember when they still had a color called 'flesh'? And do you remember being young enough to not know that this was not 'politically correct'?
