I would suggest much milder things...

how about during normal sex when she is on top of you, you take hold of her hands and help her to hold yours down to the bed above or beside your head.

Or encourage her to blindfold you (or both blindfold each other) and just feel your way through sex.

If a little pain is what you're looking for, maybe encourage her to suck, then nibble your nipples. Maybe once she is comfortable with that you could both find how hard you are willing to go with that type of pain.
