Las Vegas and Avatars

If you're coming to the Las Vegas meeting, you need an avatar for me to make your name tag from. Anyone coming with you also needs an avatar.

Now, the fact that there are several people coming who don't have enough posts for an avatar, and several people are bringing guests and spouses who aren't members of Literotica, that presents a problem.

However, I've found a way to solve the problem: Just put your avatar or an avatar for your guests in your signature line.

If you don't know how to put an image in your signature line, or worse, the picture you want to use isn't online or avatar sized, then check out the experiment I did in the How To forum.

Using the avatars gives a visual cue to link you to your posts, that won't necessarily be embarassing outside of the circle of Literoticans at the meeting. Your username isn't particularly inappropriate, but some others who are going have usernames that would raise eyebrows.

Since I'm going to overlay another image on the avatars to provide an element of security to the process, Just a name won't work very well.

Don't think of it as an "avatar" but as choosing your own ID badge picture.

I do remember a cartoon of the day from a week or so ago that was blonde and had HUGE hooters. I can dig that one out of the history files and use it?

You only need it for aobut a week. Whatever you're avatar is on 05 Oct is what I'll use, and you can take it down after the party.

TN_Vixen... hey - it ain't that bad... remember we want to make this as safe and fun as we can for everyone. The badges is both a way of having some security AND not having to have someone stand at the door all night long - unless you'd like to volunteer for that? *lol*

It really will make things easier. And if you're anti-avatar - just do what WH suggested and use it in your sig line for a bit. It doesn't have to be permanent - just long enough for WH to copy it and to give people a chance to associate the image with you.

Oh... WH - use the apple for me - and it is GOLDEN not green... *smile*
