I was sitting here pondering about what languages people here speak and/or understand?

I suspect that there are several multi languages people here, and a some who don't have English as their first language.

My first language is Danish, and I also speak, read and write English (pretty well from what my english speaking friends tell me). I also speak and understand German pretty good. I can get by on Swedish, and also understand some Norwegian.

Ah, but can you speak Scotish??? LOL!
I wish I could speak another language. That's great you know so many. :)
I wish I could. I think a Scotish accent is so cool! I was thinking about it when I watched an interview with David Coulthard on tv today.

I'm only fluent in English...

But I can speak/understand/read/write a little French, and a little German... and read/write a bit of Latin. :)

I like languages... I took all three of those in school, and then got bored with all of them. I'd like to become proficient in all three one day... my class schedule at the moment doesn't allow for any more language electives though.

I am only fluent in English, but can speak a little spanish. What I remember what 2 years of highschool classes, lol. I've always wanted to learn French and Swedish.

English and Spanish here, you have to speak a little at least living in the area I live in... my town is probably almost half Hispanic, if not then maybe a third. I can make sentences sometimes, but most of the time just phrases from what I remember from Spanish classes, and I do remember what most words mean. I'm good at Spanish to English, but not necessarily English to Spanish, give me a phrase and I can tell you what it means in English, but I'm not so good the other way around, lol.

Nothing sexier than a man speaking a foreign language into my ear while having sex. Even better if I have no idea what he's saying. ;)

My first language is English (Good and bad English), took 4 years of Japanese in high school, and Im still functional in it. My "mother tongue" is Bengali, though I only understand it, unable to speak it. Can pick up a bit of Hindi, and a few bits here and there of German.

I've picked up a little bit of several languages from moving around...

I can read French better than I can speak it, though I can get by. Spanish is easy enough to pick up around here. I can also speak some Japanese - though it's not in huge demand in my area ;). And then there's Southern speak...phrases like "Ya'll" and "fixin' to"...which seems to provide endless entertainment when I travel north ;)
