I didn't know what else to call it, or even if there's already a similar thread here.

Basically what I'm getting at is , is there language that in RL you'd never use but would use in rp? I'm sure there is. I know for me that's so.

Is there language in RP that you don't like. Words..Words that you like, but might not like in certain contexts.

For me that again is so. An example being the word 'cunt'. It's a horrid ugly word to my mind, BUT can when used correctly be very sexy. I use it..I hope/try to slip it in in the right places as an emphasis to the sexiness of the situation, but never to be crass, and I hope I manage that.
Again, the word 'cock' would be similar. It's not an attractive word to my mind, but ....damn if it's used correctly in writing, even in a whisper, it's sexy as sin.

In RL, both words have their places. Both words are used, but ....in the right context and never to the point it gets old.. Basically, I have a cunt....but I am not one, and if you call me that as a name, I swear I'll take your head clean off your shoulders before you can move. There are few words, again to my mind, that can be sexy if said right...but fewer words that can be so over used, ugly and terribly offensive.

All of the above is just my opinion. Have you peeves with words that annoy you, or anger you, or arouse, or leave you unmoved either ways. Am I the only one where words or an expression can stick with me, and leave me completely turned on by something said beautifully, or completely cold.?

Just keep it friendly folks please, and on topic. Also, if this takes off, please be respectful of opinions..''each to his own''.

For me, the short answer is 'no' but then I'm a maso who craves degradation. Lit is a place where I'm free to be my sexual self. A relationship in real life would also allow me to be my sexual self, uncensored. There are sexual terms I like better than others, generally the more explicit ones, but that which we call a cock or cunt, by any other name would taste as sweet. Sex should be when you can be uninhibited, raw and dialogue should be unedited. Plus, nobody can make me feel like a worthless cunt without my consent. My consent is given carefully.

Words I simply cannot abide actually tend to be the tamer ones; prick and twat are prime examples. They're like a face-full of ice cold water to me, instantly killing ardour. Really prissy or immature terms just make me laugh. If you can't bring yourself to say anything sexually explicit, IMO you're not adult enough to be having sex.

Just my tuppence.

Hmmm...I don't really know why but oddly, the word 'pussy' always seems to hit me in a weird way. Turn me off slightly and make me wrinkle my nose...which is weird because I'm so okay with 'cunt' lol!

*Shrugs*

Eventually I come full circle on all things and I'll get over that one too. I tend to break my own limits and find harder ones in good time. A year from now, I'll be setting a new benchmark on 'slut' :D just wait and see!

Nawwww FM, I'm always happy to kick you around with permission

Cock is meh. Fuckstick just makes me giggle. Welll, I lie, all dirty words make me giggle. But I have to say, Cunt is an absolute joy to me. Ever since I saw Vagina Monologues (and performed it) that I simply love the word.

I am becoming more proficient at the use of language to control or entice, at one point in my life I wouldn't have dreamed of calling someone a "dirty little slut" but thanks to an intervention on the part of Minx, Leo, FM and FF, I don't really think twice about it anymore, and find myself reaching for slightly more depraved language- in an RP, play or cybering, even once or twice during phone sex (okay maybe more than that).

This realization that the language is so malleable has made writing less of a chore, I can play with the words and terms (and I do) to make them fit the scene.

*happy sigh*
Isn't it great to be a writer?

There's words I find aesthetically displeasing (for some reason 'pussy' just annoys me), but almost every word has an appropriate time or place.
I have been in love with language all my life, and sex almost as long. Bringing the two together, well, I can't imagine finding a word that I didn't want to use SOMEWHERE...
