Nestled in the mountains, in the land of Gerod, lies a small town called S'ville. This small town rarely has any travelers, so the locals keep to themselfs. Each small house is adorned with red shingles, made from the rare clay from the area. There are little green plots of farmland where local farmers grow the food for the entire town. In the middle of town stands The Church, where everyone would pray on the last day of the week. Everything usually runs quiet, that is until a stranger showed up one day. It all happened at Jo'ns Tavern one night, the night before Prayer.

The Tavern bussled with the local men after their hard day of work. Cards where being played, as well as a piano and string instruments playing their melody. The barmaid hurried around filling drinks while the bartender was cleaning out glasses. He was bald and rather large in size, yet a very generous and caring man. The doors to the salon flew open, greeting a stranger who glided across the floor and to the bar. Jo'n greeted him with a hearty smile.

"What can I get yer," Jo'n asked grinning.

"Oldest scotch," replied the stranger cooly.

"Yessir," Jo'n poured his drink," Whats yer name feller? Ya seem new her'."

The stranger downed his scotch while Jo'n refilled it," Call me Z"

A young dark-haired woman sat quietly in a corner of the dense, smoke-filled bar. She lazily fingered the rim of her rum glass. She listened off-handedly to the conversations of drunkards and business men and discovered who was winning the card game. A cool rush of winter wind blew past the crowd of patrons and even lifted a skanky bar wench's skirts. The green-eyed girl lifted her gaze from the molded wooden floors to watch a brooding figure come in from the cold and order a drink.

She lifted a quick finger and was immediately greeted by half-way exposed breasts and a gruff voice,

"Yeah, doll?" she asked for the girl's order.

"Send the stranger another of whatever he's drinking on me, love"

The wench bustled off to whisper the woman's request to Jo'n who promptly refilled another drained glass and nodded in the woman's direction to indicate who it was from.

Z simply gazed lazily at Jo'n and smiled.

What might i have done to deserve this?" He asked carefully.
