Ladies...Strapless Bra Question

I'm a full size C cup. I'm thinking that the peasant top I'm wearing on Friday (for a competition) requires some strapless. I've never owned one. Are they supportive??? I'm already feeling a bit self concious as I've never worn this type of blouse before and it's rather form fitting to say the least. Time to stop standing in the corner. :D

I need some help getting dressed please.

ps...the blouse has the coolest sleeves I think I've ever owned. 3/4 length and flouncy at the ends. Very romantical.

go without the bra. Bet you win the competition.

Uuuuhhh...no. I don't normally show off my breasts, which is surprising considering the amount of money I spend on my lingerie in a year. This top has this elastic thing that fits right underneath my breasts and I look pretty darn full up top. I'm going to be walking around with Uuuhhha permanent blush on Friday.

*deep breath*

I've always looked at these types of clothes and wish I had the confidence to wear them. No time like the present to jump in with both feet..errr breasts. :D

I have tried strapless. I er kept falling out of the bra so my experience has been? I can't wear them because I am big breasted. I have worn a normal bra if the occassion arose and pulled the straps down out of sight.
Others may have had success.

Enjoy your competition. :)

PB, it depends on the type of strapless bra you buy. The "tube" type are worthless for support. Those with underwires are a bit better. You really realize when wearing one how much of the weight of your breasts is being transferred onto your shoulders by the straps.

That's what I was wondering. I a demi bra's and I envision the experience being much like wearing that particular bra or sort of wearing it...depending on how you look at it. :D

here's a thing I found at Victoria Secret. they're clear straps. If you get a strapless bra, make sure it has removable straps or something like it and get the clear straps. then you dont have to worry about anyone else seeing them and you'll still feel comfortable in the bra.

as for my experiences, I'm a DD and if I'm wearing a strapless bra, it has to be with a shirt that's going to tie around my neck. If it dont tie, then the bra falls down in the front cuz of the weight of my boobs

Maybe I'll just be really daring and where the dark purple lace number, straps and all! :D

I'd go with the clear strap option too. I'm a little bigger than you, and I cannot wear a strapless bra. I tried last year at a ball I went to, and I kept falling out of my bodice.

Yeah, that's a bad thing.

Ummm...what was that? Your AV is distracting me. WOW!!!

If you have the cash, invest in a long-line underwire strapless, like what many women wear under wedding gowns. They support (and I'm uh. highly gifted, let's say) and they're pretty comfortable (mainly cuz you don't have to tug them up every 30 seconds). The downside is that they're pricey and not exactly sexy.

islandman... it IS a bad thing in February. My nipples could have injured someone.

pb... pay attention to the posts darlin. ;)

i would go for a strapless long line corset style bra to wear under the peasant blouse. something constructed in stretch satin~type material with fully formed cut bust cups that have plastic or even better spiral boning sewn into it. you must know the style i'm talking about. very basic staple piece of lingerie. a good one runs about 40 bucks.

spoken like a genius!

:D

The long-line underwire is a great idea, Nora. Also, maybe a bustier of some sort might work (something with enough support to hold you up and in!). I'm a D cup so I know what you're going through.

Strapless bras .. do not seem to work for me.. I am a C cup and they always seem to not support ...

If I were you , I would go with Nora's advice... that would be the best to wear under your new blouse. :)

Add my vote to the long-line suggestion. Go someplace like Victoria's or Nordstrom's and you should have no problem finding a sexy one as well.

Try this, available in your own hometown...she will help you fit it and it is very comfortable. I have a larger cup than you and mine works great!
