Two simple questions. I ask because I have heard a number of women say they cum harder masturbating, but given a choice they would still take the real thing. What about you?

1. Do you cum harder from masturbation or sex?

2. Which do you prefer, and why?

G.

My most intense orgasms are from my G~Spot vibe, but I am more satisfied with orgasms through intercourse. Masturbation orgasms are only momentary relief to an "itch" so to speak, and 30 minutes later, the itch is still there.
So many other needs are met through intercourse that make those orgasms just incredible...its more of a total experience.

This totally depends on my mood, and exactly what I'm after. If I crave intimacy, then there is no subsitute for the real thing. If I just need a good O, then I'll masturbate. Then, there's always the problem of exactly how good the "real thing" is.

It's definitely a mood thing. There's nothing better than an orgasm generated by making love with my spouse - it shakes me right down to my soul.

But my vibrators - oh what wonderful toys! They don't touch my soul, but they do make me come hard and long.

And both together - Wow!

Here's a quick detour from the topic. Do you find that too much masturbatin' can have an adverse effect when you have intercourse?

Pardon my totally SUCKY ability to articulate my thoughts.

What I mean is, if you masturbate a lot, you almost build up a tolerance to certain stimuli and end up unsatisfied with normal intercourse.

I have found this to be true.

I usually cum harder from masturbation than I do during sex.

2. Which do you prefer, and why?

I still would prefer the 'real thing' regardless of how intense my climaxes are. Why? Because, no matter how wonderful my toys are, they don't have the right 'attachments'.

I never masturbate the same way every time. I vary my positions, my toys, and even the setting where I'm at. It keeps things interesting for me and it should keep me from building up that 'tolerance' you're referring to.

I cum harder from sex. I've never quite perfected the art of masturbation to the degree that I would prefer it over sex. I have some intense orgasms from self-pleasuring, but nothing even close to what I have when engaging in the real deal.

I, unfortunately, have never orgasmed during intercourse. But that wasn't really the question. Masturbation may cause more intense orgasms, but that does not mean they are more satisfying.

2. Which do you prefer, and why?

Nothing, nothing can replace the feel of skin-on-skin, the smell, the taste, the touch, and - oh my - the sounds that he makes. I would give up all of my toys (well, except for that one) if I could have that feeling right now.

I CuM a whole lot more from oral sex:p

Agreed. My most intense orgasms are from oral sex. Beats my vibe every time.

acitore_vuli, I don't agree that a tolerance is built, I just think that it helped me to find what I really, really prefer. The tongue and lips are the ticket. The vibe can't be beat for a quick release.

The last time I came with my husband inside of me, no finger or toys, we popped a blood vessel in his penis. What a bruise!

I usually don't cum from just intercourse, but with the right partner and creativity, then it is just mind blowing. I really do prefer that one on one situation. As others have said, there really isn't anything at all that can compare to that feeling/sensation/sounds/smells/tastes/reactions of being with someone else. That is when it is most powerful to me.

Mind you, my vibe does produce a fairly enjoyable "O"! ;)

I have had some intense orgasms from both pleasuring myself and the real thing.

I do prefer the real thing. Like cutie pie said...

Thanks everyone for your responses, and thanks Peppermint lady for bumping this back up. I had forgotten about this thread, and it is very interesting to me. I have another question.

For those of you who cum harder from intercourse, is it a physical thing (stimulus etc.) or is it the stimulation of your mind that takes it to the next level? They say the largest erogenous zone on the body is the mind.

G.

I don’t use a vibe…. Why? I don’t know. I just don’t, I might later on I’m not sure. Anyway. I prefer the real thing.
Which one makes me come harder? Depends.

Like most of the rest of them - I prefer the real thing!

But the vibe does produce some of the most intense orgasms I've ever had. Actually it takes two of them to get that result, but it sure is fun.

I still prefer the real thing - skin to skin, touching, tasting, feeling, togetherness.

Interesting question. I guess for me it would be a physical thing. I have had some interesting conversations on the phone ;) , which would stimulate my mind. However, I do still prefer the real thing.

Sometimes there are inhibitions preventing orgasms (or more accurately, powerful orgasms) during sex. If it's someone for who I haven't developed some sort of feelings for, I might as well not be there if I'm just looking for an orgasm. But that skin to skin contact can't be beat either,, even sometimes without the orgasm following it. Even with my fwb, I don't have those kind of mind blowing ones that people talk about. At this point, I simply have better orgasms from vibes - but it's all the other facets that just make real sex better, no matter what.

It seems there is almost two different things we as humans are satisfing. As a man I find that masterbation is just a release of sexual tension. It helps me concentrate on other things. It is more mechanical. But it does absolutly nothing to satisfy my mental desire for sexual contact. Sex seems to fufill a need for passion almost as much as the physical release of orgasim.

I know I'm asking the ladies so my experience may not be as relavent, that is why I am curious.

I have darn good orgasms both ways...it depends on the mood a lot though. Masturbation is great for tension release and that "immediate" need. Sex definitely requires more participation and thought. While masturbating and using my toys, its all about ME and my pleasure and orgasm. When I'm having sex, it becomes the pleasure of someone else as well, which is a pleasure in itself.

They are definitely two different types of orgasms and I can't really choose one over the other because they are so different.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but, I have a question of my own. Let's say, your lover can't get an erection, but, can use a toy. Do you still have an orgasm. Remember, the love is their, but, the "real thing" is differnt.

But maybe I just haven't found the right man yet?

Yes, the orgasm could/would still happen. When it's with a partner, it isn't just about penetration. You can still have the skin on skin, the touching, the sweet (or naughty) words whispered (or shouted) to each other, and oral sex for her. It may be a challenge to work around the the lack of erection but one that CAN be gotten past with communication.
