Sometimes there are inhibitions preventing orgasms (or more accurately, powerful orgasms) during sex. If it's someone for who I haven't developed some sort of feelings for, I might as well not be there if I'm just looking for an orgasm. Yes, the orgasm could/would still happen. When it's with a partner, it isn't just about penetration. It may be a challenge to work around the the lack of erection but one that CAN be gotten past with communication.
