I have a female friend who said women do not like the word and find it offensive.
My question is when you read it in many of the stories on this website is it offensive, a turn on or what. What word would you prefer?
post or send me a private response with your thoughts. Thanks

Europeans use that word and consider it appropriate, I don't.

Personally I have no problem with it at all and use it in my audios and stories. I know many men find it arousing and love to hear it. Doesn't make me flinch in the slightest. I heard a hilarious quote using it I always liked.

"I'd call you a cunt, but you lack both the depth and the warmth."

Don't understand at all how cunt can be offensive

It's just an age old word for vagina.

If cunt is offensive then cock must be too?

No we don't, although there are still some that might it is deemed highly offensive

Yes what it defines is beautiful but such is the nature of our language that it has come to be the worst of swear words despite what the 'reclaim the cunt' brigade might strive to achieve

In stories it's used for humiliation, degradation...some who like that might be OK with the word.

Would depend on how the word is used. If call a woman a cunt its offensive (barring special circumstances) otherwise its just a word. But then again we are living in a "politically correct" world so never know.

This is very confusing for a non native speaker: I have found over the years people saying it is a very offensive, taboo word, others claiming it to be a term usable in certain given circumstances

Just like any word it depends on context. I know someone who uses "cunt" so often in his daily vocabulary that the only reason it is offensive to me is because of how run of the mill he makes it sound.

I'm not really bothered by it, although swear words in general are much more effective when used sparingly. Or at least with a little imagination.

So it's just a tad rude to you but nothing extreme ... I've heard many say it's really, really bad and certainly a turn off

I will correct someone once if I care enough about them, after that conversation is over.

If you call me a cunt (like, "that fucking cunt of a woman") I will probably punch you. But if you're fucking me and you say something like, "I just wanna come so bad in your dripping wet cunt," that's definitely a turn on. It's all about context and usage. Plus you've got pretty much my favorite monologue of all time in favor of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZBb2uNNmDY

Of course, here we're talking about the term defining the body part: unlike you, many (like Imagine above) find it a turn off in that context too

Ass could be used the same way.

But why is this particular word such a turn off for so many? Why don't we feel this way about words like "pussy" or "coochie" or, more innocuously, "vulva"? (It has a lot of names!) If you don't like your vulva to be called a cunt, then what do you like it to be called?

I like pussy, and the word also.

Words are powerful, and their intent and how they are received are imperative to think about.

For cunt, it depends on the woman - I personally like referring to my cunt in my audios or during sex, but sparingly. I find it has more shock value when used only occasionally.

However, as was said above, anyone calls me a cunt gets a mouthful of feminist ranting from me. Just as I don't call people "pussies" for the negative connotation to women, I don't call people cunts, and won't tolerate being called one.

To sum it up, ask the woman you're with what she likes being called in bed. Communication is the the only way to know for sure.

Shall we call it the Preliminary Cunt Liability Disclaimer? :D

In Australia the word cunt, used in a public setting, really only has negative connotations. It's extremely insulting to call someone a cunt and very bad manners to use the term to describe a woman's genitals. In private, obviously you can get away with a lot more.

I don't mind the word being used occasionally in a sexual context to refer to my genitals. I'll occasionally use it myself. A guy would want to be very sure of his relationship with me before he called me cunt. Or slut or whore, for that matter. With me it's a privilege that has to be earned and a guy that presumes to use that name for me outside a particular relationship will be set straight very very quickly.

Very good answer.
