First post. *deep breath* This seems a relatively innocent place to start.

Looks: The color of hair, the shape of the eyes, the width of his mouth, none of that matters so much. So long as he looks at me warmly, with affection or desire, and washes his hair. I like a tall man. Barrel chested or slim, I prefer broad shoulders. I supposes that is a subconcious thing, looking for stability and all that noise.

Personality: He has to be fun, willing to laugh out loud at whatever tickles him and able to make me laugh a lot. Laughter is under-rated. I know I need more laughter in my life and I never take it for granted. He has to be generous to a fault and, ideally, able to accept generosity when it is offered (more males have trouble with that than I'd have believed 10 years ago).

He'd have to be able to hold his own in a group setting. Not via volume, or by volubility, but by sheer power of will and charm. I'm a sucker for an alpha male charmer.

In Bed: He'd try anything to make me come. Any experiment, any kinkiness, anything that happened to catch my imagination and have possibilities. That generosity from above must be present in bed (or out!). More importantly, he'd be able to relax and allow me to experiment with him. Again, harder to find than I'd ever imagined.

I've found most of this with my current mate. All but the ability to completely let go and just freakin' have an orgasm instead of always holding back and denying me the knowledge of the power I wield. Gimme!

This aspect of my perfect lover is the least important. I'd want him to look healthy and happy, I guess.

He'd be a good communicator with a ready sense of humor. He'd read a lot but also be physically active. He'd like some form of art or music. He'd have guy friends and women friends. He'd enjoy whatever career he'd chosen for himself but wouldn't be a workaholic. He'd be generous to those less fortunate than himself. He'd be faithful to whatever commitments he made...and if he found he couldn't keep up with them, he'd be honest enough to try to renegotiate fairly. Hmmm...so many other things I'd like to put on this list.
