Call immigrant detention centers what they really are: concentration camps

If you were paying close attention last week, you might have spotted a pattern in the news. Peeking out from behind the breathless coverage of the Trump family’s tuxedoed trip to London was a spate of deaths of immigrants in U.S. custody: Johana Medina Léon, a 25-year-old transgender asylum seeker; an unnamed 33-year-old Salvadoran man; and a 40-year-old woman from Honduras.

Photos from a Border Patrol processing center in El Paso showed people herded so tightly into cells that they had to stand on toilets to breathe. Memos surfaced by journalist Ken Klippenstein revealed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s failure to provide medical care was responsible for suicides and other deaths of detainees. These followed another report that showed that thousands of detainees are being brutally held in isolation cells just for being transgender or mentally ill.

Also last week, the Trump administration cut funding for classes, recreation and legal aid at detention centers holding minors — which were likened to “summer camps” by a senior ICE official last year. And there was the revelation that months after being torn from their parents’ arms, 37 children were locked in vans for up to 39 hours in the parking lot of a detention center outside Port Isabel, Texas. In the last year, at least seven migrant children have died in federal custody.

The Press has concentrated on fluffing Trumpskis's election fuckery but leaves the case of American Atrocities off the stove, while they warm over some low level bumfuckery.

But, I guess "Brown People" don't deserve the attention of the MSM?

America Stopped This Dangerous Baby, So Everyone Can Breathe Easy

The New York Times this weekend brought us a case study of how Donald Trump's family separation policy tore apart just one family last year, although this particular example is notable because it involves the youngest child known -- so far -- to have been taken from his parents at the US-Mexico border. Little Constantin Mutu was just four months old when he was taken from his father, Vasile, a Romanian seeking asylum in the USA, having believed all that outdated crap about the Statue of Liberty being the "Mother of Exiles." What a sap! We're not letting those tempest-tossed takers push US around any more!

Constantin was taken from his dad in February of 2018, a good two months before the Trump administration officially announced the family separation policy -- but which we now know had been operating covertly since the summer of 2017 before it was expanded last year. Vasile and Florentina Mutu, members of the Roma ethnic minority, came to the US seeking asylum after Florentina found out that when she'd had a C-section while giving birth to Constantin, the doctors had also sterilized her without her knowing it. She said she was handed papers while she was foggy from the pain of labor, and had no idea what she was signing. Reporter Caitlin Dickerson notes "human rights groups have documented the practice of forced sterilizations" of Roma elsewhere in Europe.

And the Mutus had heard all sorts of wonderful things about America, too. They made a living by leaving their village and begging or doing short-term labor around Europe, then going home, where life was less expensive, but some people from their village had reputedly gone to the US and become rich, although maybe those stories were exaggerated. In the long history of "concentration camps", "Strategic Hamlets" and "Slave Labor" camps and Detention centers, Stretching from 1890's Cuba to Abu Grabe, few have been islands of mercy and succour.

However very few have been places where kidnapping and ripping babes from their mother breast were practised.

NO JEWISH PEOPLE ever tried to illegally sneak into Nazi Germany - not a one! In fact, the Jews of Europe did their very best to get as far away from the Nazis as they possibly could! They had NO DESIRE to go there! Understand?

Here in the United States, we have built the most powerful, free, & prosperous nation on the planet, and EVERYBODY wants to live here! And under President Trump, it's gotten even better! People who can't get into the U.S. legally will often try and sneak into our nation ILLEGALLY! Are you following this, Jack?

The American border patrol doesn't kidnap Mexican people - no, our border agents try to PROTECT our borders from people attempting to violate U.S. Immigration laws! If somebody is caught entering the United States illegally, they can be detained! Only a complete DUMBASS would ever compare a U.S. border detention facility with a Nazi death camp like Auschwitz! I repeat: only a complete DUMBASS!

Unfortunately, a lot of the Trump-haters in America today are, in fact, complete DUMBASSES!

As Republican lawmakers furiously deny that President Donald Trump is holding migrant families in “concentration camps” along the border, historians have been charting the alarming parallels with Nazi Germany.

“They merely supported a state policy to take deviants away from society to be housed in humane facilities where they could do no harm,” Richardson-Little wrote.

But that simply isn’t true, he argued.

“There was excessive evidence of the horrors of what was happening in the camps and the violence and death inherent to the Nazi project,” Richardson-Little wrote. “But the Third Reich provided its citizens a veneer of respectability that they could cling to as a shield to avoid confronting this reality.”

You are using the word "Historian" very loosely in this context, Jack!

Adolf Hitler wasn't all that interested in stopping Jews from trying to sneak into Nazi Germany - that really WASN'T a serious problem for the Third Reich in the 1930's and early 1940's, and any historian who believes that it was... well, let's just say that they must have skipped a LOT of classes!

Donald Trump ISN'T Hitler - just ask anybody who knows anything about the REAL Hitler, and they'll fill you in on the myriad of differences separating the two. All you're accomplishing with these dumb-ass comparisons is showing your desperation at the left's inability to bring down the Trump presidency!

The LAST time the desperate Democrats pulled this kind of crap was back in 2003, when they were saying that "Bush is Hitler" - the result being that when President Bush ran for re-election in 2004 he ended-up winning 11,577,160 MORE votes than he'd won in November of 2000! And no, presidents do NOT normally win more votes the second time around! President Obama actually won 3,580,921 FEWER votes in 2012 than he'd won in 2008! TRUE STORY!
