Juanes - La Camisa Negra

(Maybe it's just popular over here, don't know. Great summer-song)

Doesn't anyone know this song?

Doesn'T anyone wanna comment on it?

Doesn't anyone wanna kill or hijack threads anymore?

???

dude, I downloaded it, but it isn't growing on me all that fast... I'll get back to you on that.
So are you way into Latino music? Because while I was browsing for "Malaguena Slarosa- you know, the Chingon one from Kill Bill- I found a version by Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan and it's one of the sexiest things I've heard recently- much more yearning then the Chingon version, beautiful voices, and that perfectly controlled tempo.. *fans self*
So I looked for more of their songs but what I've found isn't quite the same.
I come from east L.A.- so War, Santana, Malo, Los Lobos- are all part of my roots. I used to hear them at free concerts in parks! But I didn't start getting into Sonos Latinos until about five years or so ago, in Chicago. I shopped at these Mexican grocery stores- better meats and real butchers- and once or twice I got so into a song that was playing- I'd forget what I wanted to buy! But if I asked anyone what the song was- they wouldn't have been listening to it the way I was... So I'm still pretty ignorant about it still. I don't know the names...

unless Im mistaken ... this song appears to have been written in some foreign language .. me no comprende

I don't know about most of that, but I have heard Malaguena Salerosa, and it's fabulous. Just as fabulous is Vikki Carr singing Cuando Calienta El Sol. I could listen to them for hours, if I had a recording of Malaguena, that is.

Sorry, Snoopy.

:rose:
Well, I would never send you an mp3 file of the song- nope, not even if you pm'd me your email address :D
Not even both versions, so you could try to decide which is better...

Thank you, Stella, but I can't accept even if I wanted to -- too dumb (computer wise, that is, and maybe otherwise too). Appreciate the offer though.

Snoopy, have you ever heard: Flores Negras? Now that is a nice song when sung by Edie Gorme.

No, never heard it, but I might check it out some time.
