I am looking for an opera buddy. I have some great tickets. The next opera is Friday, May 31 for Duke Bluebeard's Castle by Bartok. The bass is Samuel Ramey, the mezzosoprano is Denyce Graves. Amazing. It is double billed with the short opera Gianni Schicchi by Puccini, also starring Ramey.

These are mid orchestra seats. Any L.A. locals interested?

Ya know...I sure wish I could take you up on your offer. I love classical music and there are some arias and overtures I thoroughly enjoy. But, alas, mileage and a wife prevent me from enjoying a delightful evening with even more delightful company!

I do wish you luck in your endeavor. Enjoy the performance some for me!

Thank you so much for replying. I was beginning to hear an echo in here. Take care. Instead of looking for an opera buff, I should have said I would be in the buff...

nice one

A texan opera buff.....would love to visit LA and take in an opera.

Happy to hear there are some opera fans around. I will let you know the season's offerings.

I only wish I were closer: but budget and distance are currently insurmountable. I love opera, I'm a singer and composer, so any excuse for a concert/performance. I don't know Gianni but I want to see Bluebeard - I love Bartok. Bummer!!

Now how fun would that be to experience theater with a singer/composer...

Wish I was going to be in LA... what fun it would be to get dressed up for a night at the opera with a woman of taste and who also is sexy as hell! What fun we could have:kiss:

Hello Pet,
Is that ticket filled yet. If not, I'd be seriously interested in attending with you. I'm in Santa Barbara but would travel down to LA for the evening. I love puccini or is that .......
