Do you know about it?
Did you know the government wants to ban it?
How pissed do you think Superman will be at those who want to keep it legal?

I do IT work for a group of dispensaries, and got into a conversation about this very thing, earlier in the year when the DEA was poised to ban it.
People can abuse ANYTHING, and the handful of instances where people have, seems to be the "rational" for making it illegal.

In actuality, it's a substance that can be used to help people ( much like pot ), and it has an above average potential to cut in on Pharmaceutical profits...therefore cutting in on FDA/investor/Politician profits. Much like pot.

I read Reason because the opinions vary greatly unlike any other site I might be visiting. It, to me, is what we used to be as a nation, a place to entertain and discuss ideas and differences instead of a bad Schwarzenegger movie where we are all running men if we dare to deviate from the pc consensus.

Lol the arrogance of the US government, it never diminishes does it??

Banning plants, other valuable products, services and naturally occurring resources seems to be it’s primary function.

Fuckin commie scum....

I know a guy who takes Kratom.
He buys the powder and gel caps, and eats like 2 dozen of them a day.
He has nerve damage in his spine from busting his ass every day of his life cleaning out gas wells. He gets immune to opioids and they bog his mind and body, so he only takes them on the weekend now. Taking Kratom during the week helps him work more better and keeps his opioid tolerance low.

edit to add: apparently kratom also acts like fiber. Sometimes he doesn't properly plan and will run out of kratom, and when he misses a few days of his normal schedule his poops aren't as glorious.

never heard of it until now, had to google. the only concern i would have is as to addictive properties, otherwise fuck yeah, i'll do it. at least it's organic.

This is a thread that has hung around a long time. I wonder if I need to look that shit up.

I remember a lot of posts and advertisements for kratom. This supplement was sold as an energy booster, mood enhancer, pain reliever, and antidote for opioid withdrawal. But I'm sure, the truth about kratom is more complicated, otherwise, it wasn't banned. I read that at very high doses, kratom acts as a sedative. Anyway, I wouldn't take such a supplement, though it is herbal. I'm suspicious about taking even licensed meds, and when I don't have another choice, I always double-check side effects and contraindication on Canada Drugs before using pills.

I take kratom. I have for about 3 years now. A lot of misconceptions and even more pitchfork carrying hypocrites thinking they know all about it too. The kratom they sell in head shops and gas stations, around the USA, can be closely related to K2 synthetics. They are dangerous and made with unknown chemicals and passed as kratom. They do not represent the average kratom user.

The FDA, NOT willing to study and regulate pure kratom, are contributing to these dangerous knock offs. Almost all pure kratom users advocate for FDA regulations. It's safer for others that way. All of us get our kratom from trusted sources and web sites that test each batch for purity and other microbes and bacteria. They way kratom is harvested, stored and transported, leads to some cases of salmonella or other factors. This again is why we hunt and share information about trusted distributors. You pay for what you get. On average, I spend $120 a month on kratom, but has changed my life. It's changed many lives by reducing pain, depression, easing of some otherwise debilitating conditions.

This leaf from Southeast Asia has been used for thousands of years. It is still going strong within the kratom community. Everyone has a choice, we decide to live in the world of kratom.

If anyone has any questions, pm me. I won't be around for the rest of the day or two.

I don't know why anyone would want to smoke anything but pot or hashish. Life is short do the good stuff.

You don't smoke it, it's a powder. Nor do you snort it for that matter. Would I rather smoke weed? Fucking fight I would! Due to my job, that isn't an option.

I could not work for anyone who tested me.

I have smoked almost everyday since the late sixties. I have always worked for myself or with people who smoked. Never a problem. I know when and when not to smoke.

That's nice.

Our tests are so sensitive, even a small level of thc in a full spectrum CBD will pop you. My employer has afforded me an opportunity to make enough to live very comfortably. Main goal being, to raise my children, in an environment, where they have never had to feel the strain of need. If I can't smoke pot because of that? I'd say it's a small price to pay.

That's cool. Everybody has to make their own choices.
