Sweet! My folks took me when I was a kid (we had a plane back then, Piper Tripacer) and I loved it. I keep trying to convince my brother (retired from TWA) to go halfsies on a small plane, but his wife is afraid to fly. (Damned if I know why he married her, sheesh!)

My dad has been a flight instructor most of his adult life. I've never really been all that into aviation other than a love of travel, but we were exposed to many events because of that. He took my younger brother and I to Oshkosh when I was 18 and I worked crowd control. It was more momentous because that summer I met an older man who took a liking to me. I was so sheltered it never clicked with me that he was interested in me as a woman, but fortunately he was content with just taking me under his wing (he had worked with CC before) and never took advantage of my naivety. Anyway, I've liked older men ever since, and I blame Oshkosh!

Some friends of mine from another forum just had a big get together. The timing usually circles around when this couple from Australia come to follow the air show circuit. I got a PM from him the day the big planes were in Osh Kosh last week. He was like a kid in a candy store. Great pics. I'm going to send him the link. Two years ago when he visited with me after the show circuit was done we went to see the planes in Pensacola at the Naval Air Museum. Fabulous sight.
