I just saw Kingdom of Heaven at the cinemas a couple of nights ago, and as soon as I saw the Knights Templar, I thought that they were the perfect premise for some type of erotic tale.

Higly religious and pious, and fuelled with christian indoctrinations from the Catholic papacy during the Dark Ages and the times of the Cruisade, I can imagine a very wicked tale or two coming out (maybe a couple of incest stories, perhaps? About a Knight who falls in love and lust with a pair of Arabian muslim princesses? Or a nobleman who returns to France from the Crusades to find his uncle has usurped the right of governence over a close childhood friend he had left in charge, and that his mother and sister are hunted, he finds and fucks them both and then the three of them strike back at the tyrannical protagonist, ending the issue at the tip of the hero's sword? etc....)

There's a variety of different categories that the various Orders of the Crusaders of old could be written into here on Lit. I find the blending of brutality, chivalry, religious zeal and restrained lusts (natural and undeniable in all mankind) to be a perfect premise for a story. Anyone want to help elaborate on this, or write a story using this idea?

Cheers :D,

Capt

good idea, but lots of backstory.
*sigh yes, tru

but i'm pretty sure most everyone has at least a rudimentry concept of the crusades, and of the knights of old, chivalry, and the general insanity and brutality of the Dark Ages (the name itself for the era being quite apt)

I dont think THAT much of a backstory is required... its like the whole church aspect of the other thread ive read now and then here in Story Ideas (i think you started it, Sir, but i just cant be sure). Its the taboo situation - a knight, decent and christian as he is, falling from grace and comitting deliciously dirty sins of the flesh :p

oh well :d.... maybe SOMETIME down the line I can do this. Its fresh in my head though cause of the movie, and I reckon its a good premise

It is the idea of priestly knights with vows that might not be common knowledge.
