Okay that said it's an invite only thread. If you read along with us and want to play please contact me and or ask away in here and we can work something out. Right now this thread is basically people myself and the other writers in it have written together and thought could join along and tell a story. This is in the ORP because while sex can and will happen it's more about the story and the developing romances and less about writing a scene with seven different sexual positions in it lol.

This is the OOC so that we can discuss plot development and we can answer each others questions before we post if there is anything.

Some information about the thread. You can play multiple characters if you like and it's probably encouraged. If you have played the Knights of the Old Republic games that is a bonus because I'm going to drop some characters from that series from time to time. This is to give the world a slightly more storyline authentic feel. So timeline wise this takes place around 4,000 years before the the original star wars storyline presented in the movies.

I don't know if we have to go through all the trouble of posting character profiles in this thread or not but if you feel like it's a good idea I could do that and link all characters in the plot to this first post. That might not be a bad idea actually.

I'm getting ready to start a new Star Wars thread in the ORP with Bluemage. It's going to be an invite only thread and we were wondering if you would be willing to join up with us if you have the time and or energy.

We are only looking for great writers we have worked with and know can sustain a thread that has plot development with the occasional romantic romp.

We would love to have you on the team if your interested.

The plot is going to start along the lines of this. The sith have developed a couple versions of a virus that they think can help them turn promising young jedi to the darkside. One version makes the infected more emotional(all emotions several of which can lead to the darkside.) and possibly submissive to those that can break them. (This is the one that will be used on my character but the side effect turns him from male to female.) The second one makes them more aggressive and more prone to anger.

That's where the story is going to start. It's going to involve my character trying to deal with the change and not give in to the darkside and her journey to take on the sith. gaining friends and allies across the galaxy. I feel this thread can go on past the defeat of the sith that caused this because well it's star wars and there is always some new threat to the republic.

Name: Taseli 'Tas' Manda

Age: 21

Appearance: Her naturally blonde locks have been dyed brown and braided into a bun behind her head. She stands 5’7” tall and has a lean frame with pale skin and crystal blue eyes.

History: An orphan who was left with the council, Taseli showed promise in her early affinity to the force. As she grew older she was trained by Master Ti-Qun Jian in the ways of a jedi consular. Though she was a dedicated student and gifted enough to succeed she faltered once she turned eighteen. Master Ti-Qun Jian busy with other affairs and feeling she was ready gave her an assignment to represent him and send a fellow Master a message on Manaan. The message was simple enough and the meeting went swift with no incident.

However during her time on the planet she stayed on the Republic compound and met a young republic soldier. With Ti-Qun Jian’s orders to remain on Manaan until further notice she found herself consorting often with him even taking up his invitations for lunch and dinner. As the weeks passed and with nothing to do but meditate and train she found herself more and more inclined to be around him. She knew that she was walking a dangerous line but believed herself in control of the situation. As it turned out he had grown strong feelings for her as well and prodded her to leave the order and be with him.

Despite her faith and loyalty to the Order she found herself considering his proposal, he was sweet, endearing, kind and generous. Well thought of among his peers and even got along with the natives of Manaan. The would-be romance was short-lived in the end as after a night of drinking with friends he disappeared, presumed drowned in the vast ocean surrounding the complex. She did not need to see his body to know he had faded back into the force. She could no longer sense his light and this brought a deep sadness to her.

The days passed slowly and her training and meditation began to slide, she hadn’t heard from Master Ti-Qun Jian in a long time until she was summoned by him to return to Dantooine. Ti-Qun Jian had been sensing her through the force and had learned of her feelings for the young soldier even before they had a chance to meet. He expelled her from the order citing it was to protect her from the dark side of the force. She was disappointed but graciously accepted his decision knowing he was right to do so. She left the planet in her shame and settled into a plain life as a crew hand helping to pilot a freighter ship named the Serene Griffon.

I'll let you know when to start posting. If i get time in the next day or two I'll get at least one of my characters posted though I don't intend to start writing any other characters soon. Although you've already met my main character at least in his post.

Just out of curiosity, what are the guidelines/ideas for characters? Should they all be Jedi/Sith or what? Is there any kind of plotline or way things are intended to work? Should the characters know or at least have knowledge of one another?

I know, lots of questions. If it helps, I do have a few ideas but I'm not sure what will work or when or where based on the concepts being bandied about.

Just for a general timeline it takes place about 10 years after the first kotor. Revan and the character from 2 have returned. Revan is female. Haven't decided on the other yet. They are both on the light side now.

For your character anything is open, bounty hunter, scoundrel, spacer, pilot, force sensitive, adept, warrior, sith, jedi, hell a politician is even acceptable. It helps if the characters know of each other but it's not necessary. For plot all I have planned out right now is that my character gets the virus that changes her. Then after the change there are rumors across the galaxy that others are being changed. My character gets sent to investigate gathering resources before and after she leaves. How things unfold from there and what subplots exist are open to suggestion. I hope that helps. Also I figure my character is currently on datooine or however it's spelled.

Ah, The Exile. There were things about KotOR II that I really enjoyed. There was a lot I didn't also but I digress.

I do have a few questions since it's ten years after the first one. In II, the characters in the party other than the Exile go on to form/re-form the Jedi Order. Given that that's probably only happened in the last few years, I imagine there aren't a lot of Jedi. I'm also not sure that a lot of the rules or ideas of the old Jedi Order would have resurfaced yet. I have a hard time seeing people like Atton or Mira deciding that it's wrong for Jedi to love or have families, you know? Any thoughts on that from the bosses?

I also wondered about the multiple character thing. If we're going to be doing that, are there any rules we want to set for it? Could one writer have characters of differing genders or for comfort levels should we keep it one gender to one writer? Save for Tymeless's, naturally.


I have a few character ideas as well. I thought I'd run them by folks just to get thoughts or comments.

The first was for a Jedi malcontent. Someone who values the core of the Order's teachings but thinks they do a lot of stupid things as well and isn't afraid to say so.

The second was for a bounty hunter who's known for his remarkable luck. He's actually Force Sensitive and has been subconsciously using it, but it seems more like he's just insanely lucky.

The third was for a Wookie Jedi who would use the Force to communicate; either from being born mute or from being tortured/mutilated by Czerka during their virtual occupation/enslavement of Kashyykk.

I had one for a scoundrel type that I haven't fleshed out a lot just yet. I just had an idea for a Zeltron woman who'd be something of a scoundrel type; using sex as both enjoyment, work, and a tool to manipulate marks.

I think everyone here is comfortable with people playing either gender. I personally will probably play both.

The Jedi Order as it's being rebuilt would probably allow love and romance considering if Bastila, Revan, Atton, Mira etc are the ones leading the way. Considering the Love theme is kinda a big part of the storyline in KotOR games. Not to mention the fact that the order isn't exactly large enough to be turning away members just because they are in love. Though they can still view some loves as unhealthy and that could lead to the darkside.

I do like all you character idea's. I'd say don't pick more characters than what you feel you can reasonably play but I know you well enough to know you wouldn't do something like that.

My character as a male will be next to emotionless even though it bothers him that he is so numb to everything. It will be revealed in time why he was so numb though. The switch to female will open up his emotional thoughts and i will play it so she almost falls to the darkside before getting a grip and learning to use her strong emotions as an asset.

I'm thinking of a Twi-lok female bounty hunter. That only takes enough bounties to survive usually on sith or people on the wrong side of the law.

I'm also thinking of a possible male scoundrel Han's solo type.

Were you going to have a villain, or just, you know, have the virus/virii get around on their own? Because I have an idea that would work either way - I just need to know if we want a sinister presence in the thread, or to just sort of throw everyone in a pit and see what happens.

Either way, she'll be interesting.

I also have another idea, but I'm not sure that I'll have enough time to devote to her if I throw her in as well. Decisions!

Well Blue is going to play a character that is my mentor and my betrayer. But if you have an idea for the evil presence guiding everything then I have no problems with it. Makes it easier on me to not have to guide the entire plot .

So if you want to work something out with blue and the evilness master and apprentice that would be hawt.

The second idea would be a Falleen (think Prince Xizor, but female), sort of vampy. I'm not sure of much else about her, but as I said, I loves me some color-changing skin, lol

Here's the profile for my good guy character. I am still putting thoughts together for the Big Bad and would welcome input. I know the usual thing is "Sith" but that also seems a bit trite. Still mulling it over.

Anyway, here's the only thing worse than an angry Wookiee! An angry Wookiee with a lightsaber.

Name: Whyrrkka
AKA: Whyr

Age: 101

Appearance: Whyrrkka is a bit above average height for a Wookiee at 2.3 meters (7'5") and has a brawny, muscular frame that is a bit less lanky than that of many of his people. He is covered in a coat of thick hair of mixed darker, rich browns with a fringe of black at the end of his extremities. His eyes are a startlingly clear sky blue. The hair around his throat is somewhat shorter and rougher than the rest of his coat, as well as being black, marking an old and serious injury.

Whyr tends to wear little clothing besides a belt and bandoleer that he uses to carry tools, weapons, and the like. On "fancy" occasions, he will add pauldrons and a loincloth to the ensemble.

Background: Whyrrkka was young when the Czerka Corporation discovered Kashyyyk. He saw his people's fall from a free and developing industrial society to indentured servitude/slavery under the Czerka and the chief's corrupt heir.

When Revan, Zaalbar, and their companions liberated the Wookiees, Whyrrkka took part in the fighting and ended up being severely injured by a glancing blaster-bolt to the throat. Revan's Force healing saved the young Wookiee's life, but left him all but unable to speak. However, it had also awakened his own Force sensitivity.

Many years later, when the companions of the Exile began reforming the Jedi Order, Whyrrkka was recruited to join by Bao-Dur despite reservations from the former bounty hunter Mira. The still young (from a Wookiee perspective) Whyr strove hard to prove himself but Master Mira's suspicions linger. His time with the Jedi have given him many things, but above all, it has returned speech to him as he now uses telepathy to "speak" to others.

He remains somewhat reclusive on Dantooine and among the other padawans, not wanting to accidentally injure anyone with his great strength and also concerned over keeping his anger in check; a common problem for his species.

Age: 17 turns 18 around a week after the start of this thread.

Appearance: Icy blue eyes, shoulder length brown hair, 5ft 9inches tall, 197 lbs well built. Wears the typical gray robes of a Jedi Padawan.

History: John is an orphan and noone really knows his past before he came to the academy around the age of 10. Some said he was too old to join the Jedi order but those were mostly the few remaining Jedi before the Rebellion started by Revan before She had came back to the light. John was a quick study and was quickly picked by Hor Rollan to be his pupil. There are concerns about John because he shows little compassion and is impulsive.

Name: Reya

Age: 94, young for a Firrerreo.

Appearance: As all of her people do, Reya has golden skin, which turns silver when she's angry or scared. Her hair falls to her waist, and is naturally auburn striped with purple. Her eyes are the same purple as her hair, and she has, as all Firrerreo do, a second set of eyelids (nictitating membranes, like dogs and cats and crocodiles have). She is visibly similar to humans every other way, standing 5'6" tall, with breasts that are a full D-cup and long legs.

History: Reya isn't the only one of her people to be Force-sensitive - but she's one of the first to look outside her own race for training. With the founding of the Academy on Dantooine, the rulers of Firrerre hesitantly decided to send a handful of young Force-sensitives to see if it would work well. Reya was the first one sent, as she was the only one young enough to go but old enough to be trusted to give good reports at first.

Now that there are more young Firrerreos there, she feels responsible for them - as though her good reports were responsible for them being sent away from home. She was recently raised to the rank of Jedi Knight, and is very conscious of how she has to present herself to other people now. Despite that, she maintains an open-door policy - having dealt with a lot of the issues that padawans far from their homes have, she feels as though she has a duty to help them.

Most people know her by sight if not by name - the hair is a dead give-away - but she has few close friends - lots of acquaintances, and many people who think of her as their friend, but very few have gotten to know her deeply.

Okay then! Doing this kinda backwards (posting to the IC thread before the OOC thread), but here's my character!

Name: Jybs Talkoo
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Role: Scoundrel

Appearance: Kinda short but full of energy, bright red shoulder length hair that always looks kinda messy but in a cute way, green eyes, tan skin.

Jybs is an out of work pilot who specializes in smuggling runs and other fringe-type jobs. Unfortunately, she's also something of a risk-taker and she recently lost her ship in an ill-advised gambling game. Her attempt to win her ship back put her into even more debt, and now she's down to pretty much only a few belongings: a single flight suit that's 2 sizes too big for her and a broken blaster. She's pretty desperate, but her situation hasn't fully sunk in on her yet. She's looking for someone... anyone... who sounds like they might have some sort of plan, because she plans on "tagging along" and making what money she can along the way.

And of course, despite the fact that she's a smuggler and kinda foul-mouthed and short-tempered, she's got the prerequisite heart of gold and really wants to do the right thing... it's just that the naughty thing is always so much easier!

Name: Hor Rollan AKA Darth Rebus (it's Latin for "By Things" which is slightly less meaningful than I thought it was.)
Gender: Male
Race: (appears to be) Human
Role: Sith
Appearance: He is a master of disguise so it is unclear whether he truly looks like the "Hor Rollan" that the Jedi know or if even that is completely false. As Hor Rollan he has short Brown hair at the front, a brown pony tail at the back (because mullets = power, lulz at inside joke) he has blue eyes and pale skin.
History: Hor Rollan is a respected member of the Jedi order, who as of late has been having a little bit of trouble with his Padawan which has attracted a bit of attention from the council. That is at least what everyone is meant to think. In truth, that story is only skin deep, as he is actually a mysterious spy of the Sith who has been sent to infiltrate the jedi council and unleash a new 'virus' in the form of a special drug that is meant to assault the Jedi who come in contact with it by bringing their passions to a fevered boil and sending them down the path to the darkside, the path towards becoming a sith. It is unclear how he was able to infiltrate the council, whether perhaps the man "Hor Rollan" had been killed and Rebus had taken his place, or if something much more devious has been going on. Regardless, this kind of mission cannot possibly be the brainchild of a single Sith lord turned spy, can it?

How long has Taseli been exiled? Just to get an idea of how well Whyr might know her, since he hasn't been at the Enclave for probably more than 5 years.

It may be too inconsequential a thing to worry over but I'm just trying to keep my head in the time frame we set up for this.

I'd be interested in playing a spacer or some kind. Probably a pilot that owns a ship, male or female is fine with me as well just depends on what we have more of at the moment of course.
