Kissing women on the back of the hand: Romantic Cassanova or ridiclulous cad?

I've been conducting this experiment for the past few months. Whenever I meet a woman I very lightly kiss the back of her hand.

At first they look shocked, then they blush and give my hand the quick double squeeze.

The first girl I did this to was just a passing acquaintance but now, whenever I see her, she gives me one of those sexy hugs where she grinds her pelvis into mine and runs her hand up and down my back the whole time we're talking.

I think I'm on to something here . . .

As with practically everything else, it depends on who is doing the kissing 100%. I find it charming for the most part, and usually I reciprocate the gesture with a wickedly sexy grin and a raised eyebrow. And then if the guy is really cute I tighten my grip on his hand, pull it to me and kiss it back. But I also open doors for guys whenever I can-- it usually makes them do a doubletake and really flusters them. My parents raised me to be the perfect gentleman.

If it's a sleazy guy, it totally grosses me out. And I usually go wash my hand right away. But hey, there's a 50/50 chance, so I say go for it.

Honestly though, most men in NY aren't chivalrous and wouldn't dream of kissing a woman on the back of the hand. The guys who would do that also work at the NY Rennaisance Festival every summer.

I haven't decided whether this is a bad thing or not. I can't imagine being in a crowded, smoky bar down in the Village and having a guy introduce himself to me by kissing the back of my hand. I would be thinking, "total dork".
