I've been learning about less well-known kinks and how they relate to people's interests in more common ones. I've got a short survey here about things like oral, virginity, pregnancy, multiple partners, incest, and what might be summarized as "assisted sex". If you'd quickly fill out some answers, I'd appreciate the feedback.

Thanks!

Great effort...but all options are not there. You have really gone deep in some areas, but left some others untouched. Good idea though.

I chose some specific areas to focus on because the survey would get too long if everything related was listed. I've got a collection of about 600 possible entries. My purpose here is to see the correlations between a few of them.

If you think that there's a closely related one that I should add, let me know. The form can still be modified.

For pretty much all of those, whether it was arousing or not would really depend on context. Like, someone being held down because they were in so much pleasure they couldn't help but wriggle is totally different from someone being held down because they genuinely don't want to be there. Inter-generational incest is something that could be anywhere from really disgusting to hot and almost cute, depending on how it was set up. Etc.

True. Thanks for pointing that out. Many surveys completely ignore nuance. I tried to get more specific without going too deep. No survey can really ever get at small nuances through context. Interviews are needed for that. Some people would like to see the situations played out in stories or real life such that they answer the survey with the assumption that their vision of how it would be is projected onto the survey. That's relevant enough data for what I'm doing right now.

Ok, I filled it out imagining all the situations were more or less in my ideal context. I'm quite curious what your underlying question or theory is for the survey questions; it might actually be easier and more effective for me to comment on that than the survey itself was. I am generally a fan of impregnation and incest erotica, btw.

I'm interested partly in how dominance preference and gender interact, as that's unclear. Sometimes women like having women involved, and other times they want only men, for example. I'm also interested in whether or not people tend to only enjoy one "side" of something, another, or both/none. For example, female third parties vs male third parties, multiple insemination vs multiple stock, etc. The relationship between enjoyment of force, pregnancy, age differences, and incest is also of interest to me.

So far, it seems to be that if someone likes women being involved, they prefer pregnancy and incest. If they enjoy men being involved, they prefer multiple males and multiple age differences.

In response to some comments, I expanded the fe/male participation options to include desired and undesired.

How many women have answered? (I have not, I admit it-- your list is kinda heteroassumptive for me)

So far on the survey, only eight, but I'm also including the thirty-some women I've interviewed previously in my considerations.

I don't know enough about alternative sexualities to really get into those nuances or ideas about any correlations, unfortunately.

Not sure how that list of questions tells you dominance preference, but ok. The correlation of preferences is an interesting topic. I would have guessed that overall more males would be interested in scenarios of unwilling impregnation, since female rape fantasies and female pregnancy fantasies tend to be opposite in tone (dangerous w/emphasis on sluttification vs. romantic). Though female-written horror/tragedy stories where the pregnancy is abnormal (e.g. alien that eats the host) or ends in miscarriage are a third category which complicates the issue.

People who prefer male involvement but are also into pregnancy are likely to be mpreg fans, which you don't have any questions related to, so you may have a hole in your data there.

Yeah, I'm not trying to be quite comprehensive, just get some basic feelers out. I've been surprised by how many women enjoy force and forced impregnation, enjoy forcing other women to be impregnated, and like being part of a harem - and are eager to recruit. I've also been surprised by how many men enjoy a woman getting inseminated by many men and having pregnancies with several of them. Polyandry and polygamy seem to be moderately popular.

Men outnumber the ladies 4:1 in responding. I wonder if that reflects the demographics of the site, or if the girls are just shy or more distracted.

In case anyone is concerned, no personally identifying data is collected as part of the survey.

Man, at least you're getting responses. I tried a sex survey earlier and zero craps were given.

Mine is here: http://thecorrelatesstudy.wordpress.com/2012/09/23/the-study/ NSFW site, but I'm trying to find correlations between guys' personalities and their physical preferences in women. I'd love for people to help out.

Having people email you is probably a big part of the drop-off rate. Not only is it an extra couple of steps, it's something that requires using something identifying. You also have a lot of questions there, and their scientific merit is dubious. There isn't a lot there to motivate people to fill it out. Moreover, a lot of what you ask requires reflecting on past experiences and beliefs - which takes a lot of time.

I think you might get more responses if you split the questionnaire up into several smaller ones and released them slowly over time. A web form would also help (and make response comparison easier). If you really need to link the data, you could stick with having people enter an email in a text box, and hope that they stick with the same one (even if it's fake or a throwaway that never gets checked).

I think that some of the questions you ask are very interesting, but what you're doing really seems more suited to sit-down interviews.
