Kindle self publishing and erotic content?

Having recently used a Kindle and enjoyed it, I find that my Kindle account lets me self-publish and sell, but has a condition in the content guidelines:

Prohibited material:

Pornography
Pornography and hard-core material that depicts graphic sexual acts.

I guess that defined most of what I write here!

So does this really mean I could not publish some of my writing through this platform? Looking at the Kindle store there seems to be some pretty explicit titles already available.

Anyone had any experiences publishing your work this way?

I have several of my erotica novels offered in the Amazon Kindle Store. If your stuff is more sexually explicit than what I have published, I would suggest fireproof paper.

it's all melted anyway so there shouldn't be any fibers. If you're worried wear an air mask.

They're publishing everything from incest to rape. Right now there are no gatekeepers. Take advantage of it while you can.

That's already part of the Kindle, so no worries.

At least until the upgrade is pushed down so porn is unavailable.

Are people selling much self-published stuff? I assume some of our better known authors are, but what about us novices?
