I have recently become very interested in kinbaku. I have started to learn this art and interested in meeting other who practice it.

Kinbaku = shibari. Or maybe there's some fine difference between them?

Litterally and orginally, SHIBARI simply means "a tie" (from the verb SHIBARU = to tie) while KINBAKU is "erotic bondage".

Now you can ask 10 different Western practitioners and they will have at least 11 explanations. You ask a few Japanese ones and mostly they had never thought about the possibility of confusion (they mostly use the verb form SHIBARU in relation to what they do rather that make it a noun) before hearing the Westerns being all dogmatic about it.

Hoping not to open a can of warm, here are my 2 yen.

She allowed me to sing karaoke for the first time ever, putting up with my horrible voice in a love hotel in Shinjuku...I will never forget that! :D

For the records she is the one that had to endure my singing ... something that few are ever willing to endure twice

I was going to say something akin to this, but rida totally said it better.

And while looking better.

And playing with cooler rope.

And really phenomenal rope top.

....

Not that I'm jealous or anything.

And it is all because of your rope thread :rose:

There is no way I will ever repair the debt of gratitude for being shown the wonderful world of rope bondage. m(_ _)m

I am both humbled and made very happy by this post. Thank you.
