First point, as Hobbit worked out the initial subject of this thread is Australia.

My basic objective was to point out that prejudice against 'blackfellas' (Aussie for 'people of colour') by 'whitefellas' is pretty much universal not just confined to the USA.

Australia has a very small aboriginal black population of only about 600,000 but they are at the bottom of every social and economic measure there is - except their record of dying while in custody either of the police or in prisons. Black populations whether in the UK, France, Germany all live with similar issues as they do in many other countries.
Even in India the relatively light skin Northerners discriminate against the much darker skinned Southerners. Black disadvantage is a universal problem at its most visible in the USA but just as significant elsewhere.

So be critical of the USA but at the same time we should also look at ourselves with equal rigour.

And for Hobbit. Fosters is a sugared product invented by an American to lure kids from drinking coke onto beer. I believe that in Germany they are not allowed to call this swill beer. Don't touch the awful muck.
