Did you get to keep the stone? How big was it? If it is like giving birth, then at least you don't have to feed it!
I am sorry for your pain. The drugs are good, though, right? I always think the drugs make the couch feel really, really good.

Passed both times via the urethra.................. All I can say abouth that is.......... can you chew glass, swallow and then have a B.M.?

Trust me passing a stone hurts like hell. I've had about a dozen in my lifetime. I went to see a specialist and he laughed and called me a rock quarry. Mine were all excesive calcium deposits. Couldn't wait to get the pain meds when I had them.

No, this is not my first run in with "Stones". I had two they had to go in and get last summer and the second on the had to go look twice because the good doctor could not find it the first time.
At the time i was in no pain but was pissing a lot of blood.
This one stated a week ago sunday in the normal (i'm going to rip out your kidney while you scream in pain game plan) way.
I put off telling my wife untill we installed my new tool box in the bed of the black beast. (My new truck.) Up to then she thought i was in a bad mood and sweating a lot.
At the ER the good doctor hit me up with something to knock me out for about four to six hours. He said i should be ale to pass the stone as it was only seven millimeters. I don't know where HE went to school at.
I called my Urologist monday and informed him that had another stone. I spoke one of the office girls and no doubt she did not tell him about the stone being 7 mm.
She said that he said if i did not pass the stone by thursday to call them back.
I did and he said he would retrieve my cat scan and x-rays from the hospital advise me of the game plan. the next open appointment was in september.
His office called me back about three hours later and informed me that i should get my ass down there and that they would work me in. He saw me almost right away and told me that their was no way in this word i was going to pass a 7 mm kidney stone and that "they" should never have let me leave the hospital.
My choices for going in and getting it was yesterday and tomorrow. Like i was going to put it off!
He said the stone was the size and shape of a dime. He says that anything over 3mm is not going to be passed, at least by me.
He also says that half a lemon a day will keep calcuim stones from forming. Every doctor has their theory.
I have enough pain pills to kill off half the state of texas.
