KID ROCK (f/ Sheryl Crow) LYRICS

Picture

[Kid Rock]
Livin' my life in a slow hell
Different girl every night at the hotel
I aint seen the sun shine in 3 damn days
Been fuelin' up on cocaine and whisky
Wish I had a good girl to miss me
Lord I wonder if I'll ever change my ways
I put your picture away
Sat down and cried the day
I can't look at you, I'm lyin' next to her
I put your picture away, sat down and cried today
I can't look at you I'm lyin' next to her

[Sheryl Crow]
I called you lastnight in the hotel
Everyone knows but they wont tell
But their half hearted smiles tell me
Somethin' just ain't right
I been waitin' on you for a long time
Fuelin' up on heartaches and cheap wine
I ain't heard from you in 3 damn nights
I put your picture away
I wonder where you been
I can't look at you while I'm lyin' next to him
I put your picture away
I wonder where you been
I can't look at you while I'm lyin' next to him
I saw ya yesterday with an old friend

[Kid Rock]
It was the same ole same "how have you been"

[Both]
Since you been gone my worlds been dark & grey

[Kid Rock]
You reminded me of brighter days

[Sheryl Crow]
I hoped you were comin' home to stay
I was head of the church

[Kid Rock]
I was off to drink you away

[Both]
I thought about you for a long time
Can't seem to get you off my mind
I can't nderstand why we're living life this way
I found your picture today
I swear I'll change my ways
I just called to say I want you to come back home
I found your picture today
I swear I'llc hange my ways
I just called to say I want you to come back home
I just called to say, I love you come back home

anyone else heard it? I think it is a catchy tune, I just don't think it is them. Although it is pretty funky to hear them singing it.
What do you think?

I think it is 10 gallons of shit in a 5-gallon bucket...but taht's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Oof...those lyrics kill me

Is it them?

I am not sure I've heard it before.

I do know...that they have both written music for the others CD's before.

it's them, they've been playing it on the radio station I listen too. When I first heard it I was like, "why are they playing country on this station" Then when I found out who it was, I was floored.

it's so not rockin'

I absolutely love this song - and I love that it's them singing it.

But that's just me and I'm weird like that.

Crow rocks no mater what.

I have no idea who the hell is Kid Rock.

did it throw you off at all?

I've heard it, and like it.

No different than KR's song on his album Only God knows why.

I've been listening to this song for two months now and I love it!

And yes it is very countryish, but still a great song.

Pam Anderson's latest bimbo.....

Actually, a reporter once coined the phrase "himbo" for guys in that position, altho she was refering to a Madonna boy-toy

KR was doing allright in the fame game before Pam tho
And both KR & Cheryl have been doing country-themed material since their beginnings, it's just not what either of them are KNOWN for :D

I personally LOVE the song

She also did a great one with some other country dude...dwight yokum i think.

I love the KR one...

I just downloaded the song to see what the fuss was about.

It's actually quite good. And...to some extent Kid Rock has more of an actual singing voice than I'd of guessed.

I'm used to some of his other work. This is quite a change for him.

(very delayed response. lol Sorry!)

Yeah, it did. But so did "Only God Knows Why" (by KR) when I first heard it on the radio.

They're both very talented artists, so it doesn't surprise me that they would try to show people by performing songs in other genres.

Yeah, sure, I've got that CD. Great tune.

Most rock n roll performers wind up writing blues, R&B and/or C&W at some point...because it's all really the same family of music anyway.

The Rolling Stones could easily release a compilation of all the C&W flavoured tunes they've recorded over the years, for example.

I love this song and I managed to catch the video for it when I was flipping through the channels the other night. I didn't know who the woman was singing until then. I love that song, it's my favorite right now.

I agree...I like it...not stereotypical of either of them, but I enjoy country as well as almost every other type of music...they did it very well, you can catch the video on CMT every once in a while
