I can't remember if I posted this url earlier, but it bears repeating.

http://www.copyscape.com/

Just enter the url to your story. It scans your content and searches the web for copies.

I wonder how the pirate site is hiding their stories? I tried one of mine that I know is posted there, and your search engine didn't find it.

Liar, I know a particular story is posted (with my permission) on another site, but Copyfinder only finds the one posted to Literotica. Did I do something wrong?

It didn't work for me either. In fact, it found somebody else's story and the only thing it highlight was a 3 word phrase (walked with her) and then all the stuff at the bottom of the lit pages about voting and commenting.

Sheesh, peeps. No one search engine finds everything. Ze Internet is never have has never been that stringent. If you already know where your stuff is pirated, why search for it with this tool?

I dunno. It has helped me track down infrigments on articles I've written several times.

Haven't tried it with my Lit stories yet.

No match on stories, but it finds a few poems I've posted elsewhere.

copy a distinctive line or two in your story/poem and put in a search engine between quotes. that's a pretty good way to find out if you've been ripped off or not.

cuz I don't know if it's been pirated. Iffen it doesn't come up with the one place I do know it is, then how will I know if it will come up with a place I don't know it is?...and it also may be I'm not using it correctly, which what what I wanted to know.

Did I use the word "know" enough times? And can I have the word "Infrigments"? I think that's what we should call it when someone friggin' lifts your work and pretends it isn't yours.

That's how I always do it, but Google didn't find that Dreamhost site... Neither one did, in fact.
