Kentucky clerk Kim Davis may have hefty legal bill in gay marriage case

I think Kentucky should be stuck with the bill. They supported her. She just should have been bounced out of her job for not performing the job as it was defined. She could have her religious views on the matter on her own time. It wasn't her right to be in a job she wouldn't perform.

I agree. They got to build that stupid ark exhibit with tax money; they need to pay somehow.

Fuck you both.

We got enough problems. I still don't know how the fuck Hoven pulled that shit...

But no, Davis needs to pay this shit. She tore her ass. The LGBT+ community pays taxes here. And we gotta deal with these fuckers and goddamn McConnell. Yeah, she should have been fired, but this place is a shithole that needs fixing. I saw this shit on the news and it's like... this bitch is just... just still goin, ain't she? She's just... like a goddamn Energizer bunny.

Plus if they tried to get that shit from the government they'd never fucking get it. Real talk have you looked at our state budget? We sure as fuck didn't have creationland money and we ain't got this either. She wanted to be a bitch she can pay off her own lawsuit and her own goddamn legal fees. State didn't step in and pay my legal fees. Fuck that bitch. Why the hell should she get a free ride to be a homophobic dick?

She wants a free ride she can ask Jesus to pay it. People pray to god tryin to get bills paid all the time. She tore her ass acting a fool in public and now she owes more than two hundred grand and she needs to pay every fucking cent of it.

Fuck you both.

Try to be decent. That was uncalled for.

It's Kentucky that uppermost needs to feel the pain and change on this issue. The governor is trying to push it off on an individual idiot--who should have lost her job then and not be given another one serving the public now.

The rest of what you posted in your rant doesn't contradict what I posted at all. Just because you are posting anonymously on the Internet doesn't absolve you from not being snotty.

Kentucky needs to learn. Only by hitting their pocketbook will they change. Kentucky will not learn if they dont have a ramification of supporting her.

She has been out of the spotlight for quite a while now.

Are you using her for wank material or just appearing to try to remain relevant?

It's a new story.

We know it hurts your deplorable sensibilities. Are you gonna cwy some more?

Bold of you to assume I'm not snotty in real life.

Also that fuck you both was in jest, I get that it's hard to tell on text.

But seriously, no, she fucked up as an individual, she needs to pay as an individual. My tax dollars shouldn't go toward supporting her, which is what that would be. I ain't paying her bills, pure and simple. She's a bitch and I'm not paying for her.

The people who sued her live in her district. They'd be paying themselves. Their own taxes would go up so this bitch could get a free ride. That's what y'all are suggesting. She's a state employee- the way our tax system works she wouldn't even notice the hike because state taxes aren't withheld from state employees the same way they are private citizens.

This wouldn't punish her AT ALL, what y'all are suggesting. It would hurt me more than it hurt her and I didn't do anything.

What is the logic here? What are you trying to teach people? "Don't ever try to get justice against a state employee or you'll just have to pay for it your damn self."? Because that's all that would be.

Edit: These people need to learn that they can't do shit like this. That's the whole point.

Alas, Candi's already on ignore--along with about fifty alt-rightists. Hope they don't give her too hard a time.

Does he think I'm alt-right because I called him out on how taxes work? Dude... I'm a socialist.

The logic is she was a public servant. Therefore, her employer must pay. If the state wants money from her...they should sue her. By your logic, the catholic church should not be held responsible for the actions of their priests

The state is saying that they did everything they could to get her out of there. You can't just fire a county clerk, the governor himself could walk in, look her right in the face and tell her to pack her shit and get out, and she'd be able to say, "No Mike, YOU get the fuck out". Elected officials are almost impossible to get rid of here. You have to call a general assembly for impeachment and every single clerk from every single county has to be reviewed. It cost a fucking fortune, and as I've already mentioned, we are hemorrhaging money. But we were gonna do it, put it up for a vote for the representatives, and they voted against because we just don't have the fucking money. So they're trying to get her to resign, or voted out. She says that she'll never resign.

That's why the state is fighting to have her pay it. If she has to pay it they might can afford to try and impeach her. If they have to pay it, there's no way in hell they'll get her out of there.

On top of that, the other 170 or 180 or whatever it is clerks are doing their fucking job. This is one bitch. So doing the general assembly thing fucks everyone up for her bullshit. It's set up to be a clusterfuck.

She needs to be punished for what she did. The state absolutely did not support her, they had her ass arrested and complied every step of the way. I'm not going to sit here and defend the Kentucky state government because god know's it's fucking horrible. And they should have just called the assembly, but when they say they don't have the money I read the budgetary report and they legit don't.

It's a more complex thing than just "they should have fired her". Even if she went before the assembly, it's possible that they wouldn't fire her, that they would find her within her rights somehow. Then I'd be pissed. But I can totally see that happening BECAUSE of how fucked the government is and how pissed they were that they had to pay that legal bill they'd likely keep her on out of spite- to punish the lgbt+ community.

Again, having anyone but her pay this is just shitting on the lgbt+ community. That's the long and short of it.

And also... of course individual child molesters should be punished, what the fuck? Like yeah, don't fucking HIDE them like the Catholic church did, but when they came to arrest Davis the state was like, "Yeah she's right there. Take her ass." They're just bitching because they got a bill from the lawyers.

The people of Kentucky supported it (by not stopping it). The people of Kentucky should have to be made aware of and face their compliance with the actions. If the cost is shoved off on just one person, Kentucky has been permitted to slough off its responsibility.

I didn't. The LGBT+ community didn't. The "people of Kentucky" support a lot of stupid shit, like having creationism taught in school. We've proven time and time again that somebody oughta be watching us. Why the fuck do I have to pay Kim's bills?

I am a person of Kentucky. Tell me how this shit is my fault. The dude who is a card-carrying flaming queer. Why do I gotta pay her bills? Why does she get to go scott free?

He doesn't want to answer me, so he has me on Iggy. He has no reason that the very people who sued her should have to pay their own damn settlement.

Edit: Also we DID stop it. We sued her ass and had her arrested. That's literally all we can do. The fuck are you even talking about?

Having 4 marriages to 3 different men means she gets to decide who gets to get hitched.

Past tense:

"She was defeated by Democratic challenger Elwood Caudill Jr. in the November 6, 2018 election and vacated the office on January 7, 2019. "

Matty the Marauder is a self-centered buffoon.

Candi has diarrhea of the keyboard, like BB. Neither can be taken seriously.

It is The Commonwealth's problem. You are right, not every person in Kentucky is bad...but it is the State's problem. Therefore, the state pays when one of their employees fucks up. Life isn't fair. This is how change happens.

County Clerks are not employees of the state/commonwealth. They are employees of the county in which they were elected. They are paid by the county, so that is who should foot the bill. Which means the residents of the county that voted for her and pay taxes. That will give them something to remember her by.
