I have a quick question about Kegels. I searched through the Blank Manual, but was unable to find the answer for my question.

I know that when a woman does Kegel exercises it strengthens her vaginal muscles, but I was wondering if her muscles stay tight constantly, or if she has to squeeze them to achieve that tight feeling that everyone talkes about? Does doing Kegel exercises make the pussy tighter without clenching the muscles during sex?

Kegel Exercises do not really much to the vigina. They only strengthen the "Pelvic Floor" which supports in organs in the lower abdomin, reproductive organs, bladder, etc. They have three benefits.

1. Shorten the recovery time after birth
2. Stave off and reduce the affects of incontenence
3. Give you a stronger orgasm.

As far as changing the structure of your pussy... um not really. Those are not the Kegel muscle groups.

What happens is the Kegel muscles become stronger, more toned. Pretty much automatically they will support your "innards" better. When you orgasm those stronger muscles will come into play and give you greater pleasurable contractions. When you have to pee, you can hold you water longer.

I have been using one of these KegelMaster vaginal exercisers for a month or so and yes, I am happy to report, it does make a difference to the general tightness/grip. My husband has certainly noticed and not just when I squeeze. Ordinary Pelvic floor 'clenching/relaxing' type exercises can, I suppose, tone the muscle. However like other muscles in the body the pelvic floor, and the various other bands of muscle towards the outer surfaces around the vulva, strengthen best when given a bit of 'weight training,' and are exercised against resistance. This makes muscle grow and bulk up a little, hence my experience of better tightness generally.

In this particular gadget you are resisting against little springs, which you increase in number and alter the position of gradually to provide ever increasing resistance. I am only a little over half way through the 15 levels of resistance possible so far.

My hubby quipped that if I ever reach level 15 he'll never need to look for a bottle opener again. :rolleyes:
