The roller coaster ride has begun....please stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop!
David Lawrence (the shibari photographer i've mentioned before) CALLED ME TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and wanted to start hammering out the details to start shooting as early as NEXT WEEKEND! ....and if the dates are too soon or not workable he at least wants to start working on planning and addressing limitations (if any
) of mine and my Pyl who must attend, for the shoot.
YIKES
I was so excited when i picked up the phone and it was him. It's great to start something new.... new project, new photographer, new set, (discovery is so much fun) ..........BUT.... (there's always a but right?!) as soon as i started thinking about what all would be involved (what to bring, what i'd need, where i'd be) the bright lights flashed in my eyes (OMG not the SCRUTINY OF BRIGHT LIGHTING!) the same old nagging doubt came back, WHAT IF I HATE THE PICTURES (i've hated pictures before that the photographer loved) WHAT IF I LOOK LIKE SHIT IN THE PICTURES!
WHAT IF HE DOESN'T LIKE THE PICTURES?
Somebody please SMACK ME and tell me to SHUT THE FUCK UP and stop worrying. David was so complimentary but i just remember how unflattering the camera can be at times (and i'm older now too) which shows on camera too.
