It was a tragedy for both. Two lives are ruined and you resort to stand your ground statute. What is fucking wrong with you. You're justifying murder?? You have a warped understanding of 'stand your ground laws'. You should be a patient at your own mental healthl facility.

“Stand your ground” and that entire culture breeds events such as this. Own it.

It was manslaughter at worst. The judge even reminded the jury that a conviction for manslaughter was an option.



Also:

There were zero black jurors.

The verdict was NOT justice.



If I had been on that jury I probably could have been persuaded to vote for manslaughter. But in a “Stand your ground” state like Texas???



I might also have been persuaded to vote for self defense.



Anyone who believes justice was served with that verdict should never be allowed on a jury.

So, Trump being convicted for 34 felonies on basically a paperwork error and you're OK with that, but yet a person pulls out a knife and stabs an unarmed person to death and you're ok with a verdict of self defense.

I see it as for decades rich white liberal democrats created a victim box and placed the black community into it. Now that black people are victims they can't possibly be held accountable...BECAUSE THEY'RE VICTIMS!!! They should be excused for not knowing the difference from right and wrong. So he presents himself as a guardian of law and order, but the laws he appears most eager to enforce exist nowhere outside his own imagination. He patrols the public square in search of heresy, issuing citations for dissent, context, skepticism, and other offenses unknown to any recognized legal code. His understanding of jurisprudence begins with his preferences and ends with your compliance. In a more honest age he would have been recognized as a busybody; today he has promoted himself to chief of the Thought Police and spends his afternoons writing imaginary warrants for violations of etiquette he mistakes for law.
