Clark rolled over in bed as his alarm sounded. Today was the day, the day Clark, as Superman, with the help of Batman and J’onn Jonzz, would speak to the heroes that showed up to the secret meeting they had planned. Should they accept his words and join them, the greatest team of justice enforcers the world had ever seen would emerge.

Since he never knew how much sleep he might get each night, he always slept in to just forty-five minutes before work, or in this case, the meeting. In that forty-five minutes, he could shave, shower, dress, do his early morning patrol, and then head to his destination. Superhuman speed definitely had its perks.

This morning’s patrol was fairly eventful -- in the seven years since the Man of Steel started patrolling the streets of Metropolis, the thugs and gangsters had learned -- learned that the worst that would happen to them was getting turned into the law. Unlike certain other superheroes, they had no reason to fear Superman. They all knew he had a code of morality. He would never ever seriously harm them, merely turn them in after roughing them up a bit. In Gotham, criminals feared the mystical tricks of the Batman, but in Metropolis, Superman did not hide, he did not plays tricks. They could see him coming, and although they knew he would use force to stop them, the element of fear was not there. They would simply break out and try again. With some crooks, it was almost a sport -- see how far one can go before getting caught by the Man of Steel.

After dropping off a few thugs at the police department, Superman did a final sweep of the city, then headed off to Washington D.C. He entered the warehouse they were using for the secret meeting, where they had placed a large table with enough chairs to seat everyone who was coming. Walking over to the middle of three seats at the head of the table, Superman sat down. A few minutes later, J’onn Jonzz -- the Martian Manhunter -- joined him at the table, to his left. To his right, Batman sat when he arrived a few minutes after J’onn.

“Well,” Superman said with a smile as he sat back and stretched in his chair, “Just five more minutes until ten. Let’s hope everyone shows up.”

OOC: Since J’onn is going to be a mystery to everyone, I will not make a bio for him. Up until now, Superman and Batman are the only ones who knew of his existence. He crash landed on earth in 1947; He, his wife, and two sons had been the only survivors of a terrible accident -- centuries prior, due to the deteriating atmosphere of Mars, the Martians had withdrawn underground, building computer controlled environments. When an evil Martian sabotaged the systems, and then the problem grew beyond even his control, the entire Martian civilization was sent into shock as the containment barriers crashed and all the oxygen leaked out. As far as J'onn knows, only he and his family made it off Mars, crash landing on Earth. However, they escaped one disaster and met another -- in the ship crashing, his wife and two sons were killed by the fire that resulted. After this, and to avoid the uproar of the populace of Roswell, J'onn took the form of a human man, and soon established himself as Detective John Jones. It was only earlier this year when J'onn faked the death of John Jones and took on a new form, a sort of fusion between his Martian form and that of a human, thus presenting himself to Superman and Batman. And not even they know much about him other than he is the Last Son of Mars, just as Superman is the Last Son of Krypton.

Charles Szasz, better known to those that know of him as Question, had as always gotten up remarkably early. His apartment was cluttered with various object that he had aquired, and were crucial to one or more of his investigations. Sure, if he wanted he could have gone in for a cave like Batman, but that would only draw Their attention. No, better to remain low-key so as to avoid scrying eyes - and those eyes were everywhere.

Leaning back in his chair, Charcles once again looked at the screen on his laptop computer. There, he had amassed information on Superman, and everyone known to have dealings with him. Nothing seemed suspicious to his eyes, which was good, considering. They did not have the Man of Steel.

Shutting down the laptop, Charles reached under his desk and pulled out a small breifcase. If he was going to be working with Superman, it would pay for him to be appearing as everyone knows him. Standing, he grabbed his trenchcoat and fedora, before walking to his Rolls Royce, whistfully humming a tune to himself.

Twelve minutes later, Question pulled up outside of the Washington DC warehouse that was being used as the meeting ground. The faceless man, with a deliberate show of calm, stepped out and entered the warehouse.

Superman. Good.

Batman. To be expected.

...And a green man? Not good. And unknown. A variable. Potentially, one of Them. Still, better to not rase alarms. He sat down.

"So. Superman. Keeping new company these days, are we"

Patrick "Eel" O'Brian was in sharp contrast to either of these in that he was allready there....though saying he was first to arrive would be an error. He had parked his VW Beetle outfront the night before, but if he gave any sign of rising early from it, it was not aparent. Instead he lay stretched like a thin blanket across the front seats, snoring contentedly until almost 10:15, when the alarm on his cell phone went off. Slowly coming back to himself Plastic Man remolded himself back into human shape, and then got out of the car stretching himself to almost 10 ft as he moved away from the vehicle, working out the kinks from the night before. Unlike most humans, this was literal in his case. Easy to get them when you had no solid bone structure.
Thus made to feel more relaxed the plastic man ducked his head underneath the door, becoming human size once more as he waved at the allready assembled members.........and then made a beeline for the coffee pot some kind soul had left on a side table.

"Mmmm........Caffeine! Just what every growing boy needs!"

Wonder Woman

"...For years each of us has toiled alone in our fight against crime and injustice. We have had our successes and the world has been changed for the better due to our efforts. But now, perhaps it is time to combine our gifts and work together for the betterment of Earth and mankind. Alone we have already accomplished much, but we are not without our struggles. I hope to overcome those weaknesses, unite our efforts for the greater good, and accomplish on a larger scale what each of us has been attempting to achieve individually.

"Join me at 10pm, May 1, at 211 Hunting Creek Warehouse..."

And written in tight script on the bottom was simply, "I hope you'll come."

Diana read the letter again, her curiosity still unabated although she'd read it dozens of times already. She had heard of Superman, obviously, but had never met him. She had no desire to fraternize with any of the heroes of Patriarch's World any more than she had to. Her duty over the years had morphed from saving mankind from the scourge of the Nazis to now mostly saving it from itself. She noticed that "heroes" like Superman, Flash, and Batman largely stayed within their own adopted cities, whereas Diana, as Wonder Woman, preferred a more global approach. Patriarch's World wasn't divided into cities and hamlets--there was Themiscyra and there was everywhere else. And the latter was under her sworn protection.

But, she had to admit, she had always admired Superman's actions and what he stood for in Metropolis. Whenever she saw him in interviews or read about him in news articles, he always reminded her of Heracles--if the Greek hero possessed a conscience or a sense of morality. Deciding that a man who appeared to have Atlas' strength and Zeus' wisdom was worth at least the courtesy of a meeting, she climbed into her invisible jet and headed to Washington, D.C.

Upon her approach, Diana realized just how close the warehouse that had been chosen for the meeting was located to an airstrip. Although small, it was still more than serviceable for her jet. She made a mental note--his choice of meeting place could not have been by accident. He had chosen one near an airport to accommodate her. Diana made a quick survey before landing the impossibly quiet aircraft. One Rolls Royce that had seen better days and one VW Beetle that was even worse off. And parked further off was the unmistakable form of the Batmobile. Although armored and hidden from view, Diana's keen hunter's eyes spotted it easily. So, the mysterious protector of Gotham was here, too, she thought, not without surprise. Batman was almost as famous as Superman, but far more notorious. Seemingly the polar opposite of the hero in red and blue, Batman was reviled by most and feared by the rest. But Diana had to admit that, although the Dark Knight's methods were a bit unorthodox, he was no less effective in his fight against crime as she was. But if Superman had hoped to assemble a group of heroes to "work together for the betterment of mankind", judging from the attendance so far, he was off to a rocky start.

Sighing deeply, she quickly jumped down from the jet's cockpit and strode to the warehouse door, the breezes from the Potomac playing havoc with her long, black hair. She entered the warehouse and took stock of the assembly--the Question, Plastic Man, Batman, and Superman, but who was the creature to his left? Diana had never seen him before, she was sure of it. But before she could say a word, Superman was approaching her. She could tell he was genuinely pleased she had come, an easy smile on his lips as he extended a hand to her.

"Wonder Woman, thank you for coming. I'm Superman."

He had thought most people would not come, expected them not to come. Had he himself gotten such a letter he might not have come, but they did. The door opened every few minutes it seemed to let someone else in.

They were gathering quite a force even here. Most reputable of characters, choice stocks from different cities, different countries, all joining up here to come together.

Batman sat behind some cardboard table, his cape draped over him, almost casting him in entire shadow. The large flourescent lights bearing down from the high ceiling above didn't seem to help much, there could be no avoiding that. They were here to meet and greet, after all.

But, even as Bruce Wayne he wasn't very sociable. And Batman has been called many things, but friendly is not one of them.

Still, as people came in, he tried not to look as intimidating as he usually does.

OOC: Okay, a few things. First off, although it would usually piss me off, you did an exceptional job making up that letter, so I’m going to keep that and say that all the letters really did say that. Second, the warehouse is not near an airport, because their are no airports in that area of Washington D.C. -- it’s the nation’s capital, and it’s a no fly zone, a rule which was intensified after 9-11. Thirdly, and this is just my opinion, but I would think since Bats is coming from Gotham that he’d use the Batjet instead of the Batmobile, land it just outside the no fly zone, hidden, and then take his bike the rest of the way. I mean, they don’t exactly want to broadcast to the world that they are gathering together until they have agreed to become the JLA. And lastly.... Never should it be considered acceptable to bunny my characters, lol. Oh, and Athena was the Goddess of Wisdom :p.

Jeff, I answered you in the OOC thread. I don't like to break up the action w/OOC comments when there's a thread already established for that.

The shimmering jewels of the milky way flashed and sparkled, oblivious to the brilliant green comet that streaked past them towards Earth. In the silent vacuum of space, enveloped by the protective aura of his ring, Kyle Rayner, Green Lantern of Sector 2814, was finally heading home.

It had been several weeks since Kyle had first received the ring from the dying alien Abin Sur and defeated the rogue Lantern Sinestro with the aide of the Man of Steel. After imprisoning Sinestro on Oa, Kyle had remained behind to receive training in the use of his ring.

Behind the green domino mask, Kyle glanced at his right hand, which now bore what was called "the most powerful weapon in the universe". The whole thing still felt too strange to him. The Guardians had told him that things like doubt or fear were the greatest weakness a Lantern could have. The ring was powered by will and imagination, the latter of which Kyle possessed in abundance but any drop of doubt, the slightest failing of confidence in one's abilities could make even a power ring useless.

Tossing his head lightly, Green Lantern shook it off. The Guardians had told him time and again that no mistake had been made, the ring had chosen Kyle and this was his duty now.

Finally reaching the upper atmosphere, Kyle gestured with his ring towards the floating blue ball of Earth, scanning for a familiar presence. Locating Superman quickly, Green Lantern pointed his body like a missile and shot towards Washington DC.
---
It took only a few minutes before he arrived at the warehouse. His green aura diminished, fading away as he feet made contact with the ground. Pushing open the door, the Lantern was surprised to see the assembled heroes.

"Uh...hey?" He offered, already feeling a bit out of place among such company.

"The Green Lantern, I assume?" He walked over to the new arrival, holding out his gloved hand to shake, "I am glad you could make it. You were the only one we weren't sure was going to come or not. My name is Batman."

He explained briefly some of the superhero's around the man. Question over there, Wonder Woman, the only female to arrive so far, talking with Superman, and then Plastic Man getting some coffee.

"You should meet Plastic Man. I think he and you would hit it off pretty well."

He walked the Lantern over to a small coffee table that had an assortment of items. Doughnuts, coffee, sugar, water, cups, anything and everything needed for a crappy conference meeting.

Batman was hoping after this preliminary meeting they would get some better... well, everything. Bruce Wayne could help with the funding of that.

"Plastic Man, I would like for you to meet someone special... he just arrived. This is the Green Lantern."

“Wonder Woman,” Superman said with a smile as he stood and shook her hand. “I’ve been looking forward to meeting you. That goes for everyone. Some of you I’ve encountered before, and some I’m meeting for the first time. The meeting will commence once everyone who is going to show up has done so.”

Superman noticed some people looking at the green man next to him. “This is J’onn J’onnz, he is the Martian Manhunter, and is the Last Son of Mars, just as I am the Last Son of Krypton.”

“Kal-El, my personal statistics matter not,” J’onn said with a blank face. “The purpose for this meeting is purely professional, and thusly it should remain appropriate to that degree.”

Plastic Man waved to the newcomer, smiling broadly and offering him a cup of coffee.

"Want some? Its like brazilian or something like that. Tastes Great! So, you like have the power to warn us about the british coming or something? Gotta wonder how they tag some of us with names sometimes. Can be a bit silly........like I got names Plastic Man. Not Elastic Man. Not Stretch Armstrong. No, I'm Plastic Man. The incredible action figure I guess. Course I met a guy named the 'Elongated Man' once. Sounds like someone put him through a taffy puller, you ask me."

Plastic Man kept up this nonstop blather as he talked to Rayner, knowing the kid seemed a little bit nervous, and trying his darndest to help on that front. Bit of talking never hurt nobody. That he was a natural comedian only helped matters.

Already late, if only frankie hadnt scheduled a show for today, but he said it was important for us as entertainers not to disappoint our fans.

Jumping off the train, and taking a cab to the warehouse, I wondered what was happening, why I was invited, and would these people be any help to me.

Getting out a couple of blocks from the warehouse, I walked it the rest of the way.

Walking in I could already see an assembly of people, feeling slightly out of place, I smiled at those already in this meeting, I recognised Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, the rest I was not too sure of.

Green Lantern stared blankly at his hand as Superman began speaking.

"Dude...Batman just shook my hand and offered me doughnuts" He murmurered to no one in particular. Batman. THE Batman. There was more power in this warehouse then the nuclear arsenal of most countries, and the role call wasn't even complete yet.

He had felt a bit uncomfortable before but now he was downright intimidated. Besides, wasn't Batman supposed to be all scary and anti-social? Maybe that was an image thing...

Moving towards the back of the warehouse he kept his eyes on Superman and the Martian he had introduced. It surprised Kyle slightly that the sight of a tall green man with glowing red eyes didn't even faze him. A few weeks among the Lantern Corps had fixed that. Actually compared to some of the other Lanterns, this Martian was downright normal looking.

He was trying valiantly to keep up with Plastic Man's enthusiastic greeting but it was way more then he was ready for.

"Guess he's not much of a coffee drinker," Batman shrugged, as he watched poor Green Lantern move to the back of the room, trying not to be noticed. Perhaps it was for the best, Plastic Man surely hadn't given him the best of introductions. They should start off every meeting with just how appropriate their super hero names are, sure... why not.

He gave Plastic Man a look, "I think it's decaf for you from now on."

His eyes had glanced over something more interesting though. A most dazzling woman entering the room. One to rival even the near flawless Wonder Woman.

"I was hoping you could make it," He bowed, greeting Zatanna warmly, "A lot of familiar faces here, but few that bring back such pleasent memories. Thank you for joining us here today."

"Well well Batman, i see you havent changed one bit" looking him over, he was as usual in costume, grinning at him, I felt a bit more at ease.

looking around, "So bats whats this meeting about, I mean from the looks of it alot of power packed into one warehouse dont you think?"

"The meeting will commence once everyone who is going to show up has done so.”

Diana surveyed the scene before her as Superman addressed the rest of the group. So, the green creature seated at the center table was a Martian, the last of his kind did Superman say?. He was formidable-looking, expressionless, his red eyes watching the proceedings as keenly as she. Their eyes locked for a moment and he nodded a greeting to her, formal, unblinking, face still unreadable. Diana returned the gesture without the hint of a smile, but she had to admit she was curious. To her, the men and heroes of Patriarch's World were just as alien from life with her sisters on Themiscyra. It had taken her some time to get used to the culture shock and, in many ways, she had never adjusted fully. She could only imagine how Martian Manhunter was adapting.

Batman moved about the room in a seemingly uncharacteristic fashion, greeting all newcomers and making introductions. But he avoided her for some reason. She knew she had a tendency to intimidate people, mostly men, but the idea of intimidating the Dark Knight was laughable. She moved towards him in order to introduce herself--he may be notorious, violent, even malevolent in his crime-fighting if one were to believe the stories in the press, but he got the job done and Diana respected that--but his attention refocused on the newest arrival. A woman in topcoat and tails entered the room and it was obvious that she and Batman had met before. Their conversation was hushed, but although Diana's sharp hearing could make out most of their words, she decided it was best to give them their privacy.

Alone in a roomful of heroes, Diana looked around her at the assembly. Plastic Man and Earth's newest Green Lantern were chatting--well, Plastic Man was rambling on about something and the Lantern was obviously wishing he could extricate himself from the conversation--Superman was discussing something with the Martian, Batman and the woman dressed as a circus ringmaster were still talking, the Question staying to himself taking notes on his observations. Why was she here? Where were these so-called heroes while she had battled Nazis and Hirohito's forces? Where had they been as she spent the last 6 decades trying to right the wrongs created by men? Superman's intentions were noble, but the group assembled before her could not possibly attain those high-minded goals. The different conversations assaulted her ears and she was reminded of children on a playground, not heroes banding together in order to fight injustices on a global scale. No, she had much to do, and, although there were times when she would have appreciated the help, this was not for her. She would have to speak to Superman another time, perhaps fine-tune his idea with a more discerning guest list, but for now it was best she left them to their own devices.

Without a word, she turned to leave, her mind already focusing on her next task. She was in Washington, DC, capitol of America; it was long overdue for her to visit the President, as she had promised the United Nations Social Council only a week ago.

Question had started to move around the warehouse. A number of people had started to turn up, and he had made mental notes on each one. Plastic Man was early, but Question had silently hoped not to have to work too closely with him. Far too loud. Wouldn't be an asset in finding out what Their next move is.

Wonder Woman. Now there was a sight to behold. The amazonian beuty was just as he imagined. Even had that slight haughty air. Still, an exceptinal crimefigter, and from what he understood, uncorruptable

Then of course there was one of the Green Lanterns. Question didn't know much about them, and he didn't like things he didn't know about. Sure, he understood the basic principle behind how the ring works, but the person behind the ring is what you have to look out for.

Another woman entered as Question made his way slightly furthur toward the door. Judging from her outfit, it had to be the sorceress Zatana. And, it seemed, she had a friendship with the Batman. Interesting.

However, his attention turned back to the Princess as she turned to leave. Question moved up a little closer behind her. "Are you sure that's prudent, Wonder Woman? Leaving so soon? You don't know who all the players are here yet, and it would be rather rude to just slip out unnanounced, hmm?"

OOC: Okay all, I’m going to make the next post, and start the meeting. If we wait for everyone to post their chars first, we won’t get the thread going for a while, since several people have decided to wait to post (I can only assume). So, we’ll just assume everyone is in attendance.

IC:

“Wonder Woman, leaving so soon? Please, stay and give our idea a chance,” Superman said calmly. Then, turning back to everyone, he smiled. “Good. Thank you all for coming. I know some of you have had your suspicions, and rightly so, given the world in which we all live. We have asked you all here today to propose a new team of heroes shaped in the image of the Justice Society of America. Some of you may have heard of it, others maybe not. The team was founded by the original Flash, Green Lantern, and Hawkman back in 1940, as well as several other “Golden Age” heroes, as this generation has grown so fond of calling them. Although the team did disband several decades ago, the motive, the drive, still exists. I propose we form this new team, a league of justice enforcers -- the Justice League of America. United, we can more effectively vanquish crime and corruption from our nation.”

“It is not merely a coincidence that we meet here in our nation’s capital,” he said, making eye contact with each and every person in attendance. “Should you all agree to join, the Justice League will work closely with the United States Government; more specifically, agencies dedicated to the same goals and morals that we ourselves hold. However, make no mistake, we will not by any means be under the government’s control. In a previous meeting at the Pentagon, I made it very clear that we will not tolerate corruption in the agencies we assist.”

“Take a few minutes, think over what I have said,” Superman continued. “Those that choose to join will be taken to what we call the Secret Sanctuary, the concealed base of operations for the League. Recount your thoughts, review them extensively, and then once you have decided, state your verdict.”

Diana tried to stop from rolling her eyes, but was sure she didn't succeed. She had almost made it out the door unnoticed, only to be stopped by The Question, of all people. She knew little of Hub City's crimefighter, except that he reminded her of a paranoid caricature of the film noir heroes that were popular when she first came to America. She was certain he would mistake her brief stay as some sort of espionage on behalf of the Amazons--or the Girl Scouts, for that matter. The Question was known the world over as being slightly unhinged.

"Question, how good to finally meet you," she lied diplomatically. "I saw you recently on television, debating Green Arrow over America's politics. Very interesting commentary."

But, before Question could reply, Superman mercifully spoke, directing everyone's attention and allowing her to step away from the trench-coated man. Unfortunately, that attention was directed right back to her as the Man of Steel pointed out to everyone her attempt to slip out.

“Wonder Woman, leaving so soon? Please, stay and give our idea a chance.”

She glared at him as he continued to speak, but her anger flared only briefly, quenched by the mention of Flash and the JSA. She remembered Jay Garrick, of course--the speedster often joined her in her battles during man's Second World War. He had told her stories of the JSA and she had always thought of the group as well-meaning, if a bit disjointed. As Superman explained he was creating a second JSA, she became intrigued. The JSA's flaw was in its short-sightedness--only looking at their own shores and what was happening at the moment. Too busy with continuing to protect their own homes--Flash's Keystone City, Lantern's Capitol City, Hawkman's Midway City--while trying to collectively protect America as a whole, they never saw the bigger picture. They never realized that the violence and crimes being perpetrated in their individual cities was just a symptom of a larger problem.

Diana listened intently to Superman now--if he was forming a new group, then she would help them to keep an open mind. Almost as if to underscore her thoughts, Superman continued on about having met the The Pentagon and working closely with the United States Government. So, this new "Justice League" was already falling into the same pitfalls as its predecessor. She moved closer to the central table to where Superman, Batman, and Martian Manhunter sat, purposely imposing her presence, establishing herself as an equal to them. Regardless of who else joined this new team, Diana saw a clear need that she become a part of it. She would have to remain in order to remind them that, although each of them tended to focus on America--their home, adopted or otherwise--there was a larger world out there that also needed their help.

"Recount your thoughts, review them extensively, and then once you have decided, state your verdict.”

"I've already decided to join you, Superman," Diana proclaimed in a confident voice.

Green Lantern listened intently to Superman as the Man of Steel outlined this plan for a team of super-heroes. Kyle had grown up hearing about some of the great "Golden Agers", even the original Green Lantern, although he couldn't understand how the man could have been a Lantern and not a member of the Corps.

"I've already decided to join you, Superman,"

The stunning black-haired Amazon woman proclaimed in a powerful tone before anyone could else could even respond. That made 3, Superman, the Manhunter and now Wonder Woman. These people were heroes, the opportunity to serve with them could be the highest honor a budding hero could have.

"Um...I'm in Superman but...I mean...just America? I'm all for the States but I'm the Lantern for this whole sector. With all this power shouldn't we be thinking about a bigger scale?"

"You're as naive as the Daily Planet's interview made you seem, Superman." "It's almost refreshing." The strong baritone came from the doorway, bold and slightly amused. "If we're not going to work with corrupt government agencies, which ones does that leave?" "The White House's cafeteria staff?"

The speaker was leaning in the doorway to the warehouse, light streaming in behind him. Cavalier boots of dark green met leggings of a light green which disappeared under a sleeveless tunic of darg green. The tunic had a slit down the middle, allowing a slice of the light green undershirt to be seen. His arms were corded with defined muscle, bare except for forearm length dark green gloves. He wore a hood that cast his face into shadows, a domino mask covering his eyes. A well trimmed goatee of blonde hair jutted out from his chin, trailing up and around his lips, the hair on his head short and parted down the middle. Piercing green eyes watched the Man of Steel from behind the mask. In his hands was a long recurve bow, slightly taller than the man himself, and a broad quiver of green fletched arrows was on his back.

"You're awful quick to hook up with the United States government that robs it's citizens of their liberties and wages war on them with their own money." Green Arrow leaned off the door, walking a few paces into the room. He looked around the room, taking a second look at Wonder Woman. Then a third, flashing her a roguish grin. Nice. "How are you going to handle it when they start telling you not to fight certain crimes?" "Or when they ask us to remove an elected leader of another country 'cause they don't like his politics?"

"You're asking us to think this over, but I'm wondering if you have, Superman." "If this group is going to be heroes fighting bad guys, I don't think we start by cozying up to the biggest bunch of thieves in the world."

Black Canary

"I have to side with Robin Hood over there and Ringboy. I'm all for your idea of bringing justice to the masses, but if this is a team like your implying, then maybe allegiances should be chosen as a team."

For the first time the blond spoke up,calling attention to herself in her seat. One toned fishnet clad thigh crossed over the other, the supple curve of calf vanishing into the snug fit of tall black leather boots. Arms folded over her black leather encased bust and she leaned back, resting her head on the ebony jacket draped over the back of her chair. Gray blue eyes raised to the Man of Steel not in challenge only in offering of that advice. She was not like him, not bulletproof, couldn't fly....Dinah knew life was not as black and white when you were walking down the street as it might look when you fly above it.

Belatedly realizing she had not introduced herself she spoke up again. "Black Canary, I work out of Gotham mostly." She'd had her share of run in's with Batman, on more then one occasion having been on the same case from two different points of view. But Bats was after the bigger fish usually and Dinah, well she tended to work on the level of the people. She had no clue about the others, save that archer obvious raging political views. Had to respect a guy who spoke his mind...even in green tights. Wonder Woman, well there was a living legend, who didn't know about her? The others she had at least a passing recognition of, you don't watch the news and be oblivious to them. But that was enough from her for now, she'd wait to see how this panned out.

Zatanna

"Recount your thoughts, review them extensively, and then once you have decided, state your verdict.” so said superman, the best criminal fighter in the world, well ofcourse other then wonderwoman.
She was obviously stating her place in this team. Pretty much overwhelmed with a suggetion like this, I grinned working together with all the hero's and heroines I would think would be a fabulous opportunity. Before I could go any further with my thoughts, in walked a man who could have walked out of one of those olden day movies.
Oh boy here starts the conflict, I should have guessed this would never work, too many egos under one roof.
Sighing and nodding my head I was wondering how worth it something like this could be.
Hopefully thing didnt get out of hand, otherwise the secret meeting would be a secret no more.
