Really now, is there any need for a desc? I'll be playing Superman, who, along with Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, and J'onn J'onzz, have gathered a force of superheroes to better battle crime across the nation. You may choose to play any of these six heroes, or if you choose another, include in your bio receiving an invitation to a meeting inside a warehouse in Washington D.C.

Also, here's the wiki page about the members: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Justice_League_members

Real Name: Clark Kent / Kal-El
Occupation: Reporter, Superhero
Marital Status: Single
Known Relatives: Jor-El (father; deceased); Lara (mother; deceased); Jonathan Kent (adoptive father; deceased), Martha Kent (adoptive mother); Harry Kent (adoptive uncle); Sarah Kent (adoptive aunt)
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 225 lbs.
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Black
Birthdate: July 31st, 1973 (This was based upon the doctor's exam of the baby to determine his relative age. Seeing as how he had most likely had his first birthday within the previous month, or would have it within the following month, they declared the day he was found as his birthday)
Powers: Flight, super-strength, invulnerability, super-speed, vision powers (including x-ray, heat, telescopic, infra-red, and microscopic vision), super-photographic memory, super-hearing and super-breath, which enabled him to freeze objects by blowing on them, as well as exert the propulsive force of high-speed winds.

For eons the Kryptonian civilization had evolved from humble beginnings, through vast planetary wars and a flowering of both cultural and scientific thought to become one of the most technologically advanced cultures in the Galaxy. It was the Kryptonians that constructed a sub-dimensional prison realm that came to be used by many planets and systems for trapping convicted murderers -- the Phantom Zone. This realm seemed to be and endless desert, where the land was ravaged by an eternal sandstorm, and haunted by the trapped souls of those that died there.

It was into this advanced society that the military officer and scientist Jor-El was to come, a man who broke the top record of criminals locked away in the Phantom Zone, a record that was previously held by General Dru-Zod. The two had a friendly rivalry for years, and both rose to the top of their fields -- Jor-El was the Director of Applied Sciences, Zod was the Director of Military Operations. Although both at the top, Zod’s position gave him seniority over Jor-El, a fact that would ruin their friendship.

One of Krypton's greatest thinkers for generations, it was Jor-El who finally diagnosed the strange illness that was infecting the population. He discovered that the ancient wars had taken a toll on the structure of the planet, unleashing tremendous forces that were fusing the native elements into a new a radioactive compound. It was the radiation from this Kryptonite that was killing his people. However, Zod disagreed with Jor-El on his diagnosis, claiming that their computer scanners would have picked up any radioactivity. Jor-El insisted that the Kryptonite must have had some unknown chemical structure that made it invisible to their scanners. This debate sent the two into a huge argument, which ended when Zod stated that it was his call, he was in charge of Jor-El, and he would not permit the investigation to go any further.

In secret, Jor-El continued to research the Kryptonite, and finally discovered a way to prove it was lethal -- he held a piece of the green rock to a vial of his own blood, and it began to bubble. With his proof in hand, he readdressed General Zod about the problem, but never got to the chance to prove his claim -- as soon as Zod was aware Jor-El had disobeyed a direct order and continued his research, he threw Jor-El out of the room with an order to appear in military court. Instead of creating a good defense, he put all his efforts into proving his point about the Kryptonite in the courtroom. Seeing that he was unfit for his position, the judge demoted Jor-El. However, Jor-El would not be silenced, his people were at risk. In the end, his constant attempts to be heard landed him back in court, where he was discharged from the military.

Jor-El created his own laboratory, and hired his own staff, one of whom was the lovely Lara, his soon to be wife. A few years later, while gazing through their telescopes, they notice the red sun was a bit smaller than usual. Further investigation led Jor-El to believe it would soon go supernova. But, given his horrible disgrace in the courtroom years before, no one would take him seriously. He pled with his old friend Zod to listen, but he would have no part of it. After another argument, Zod told Jor-El that he would kill him should he bother the military again. It was then that Jor-El knew Zod was not the man he used to be. He had been corrupted by power.

Once again, Jor-El confronted Zod, and the conflict resulted in Zod grabbing a blaster pistol and aiming it at Jor-El. However, Jor-El had arranged this to take place when there were people out in the hall, people who heard the conflict and then came in to see Zod holding the pistol. Jor-El though this would force him to back down, but he was horribly mistaken -- Zod killed every person who had witnessed the scene, and then started firing at a horrified Jor-El. Jor-El couldn’t believe Zod was a killer, but he merely replied with “I’ve been killing people who stand in my way for years!”

Jor-El escaped, and discovered Zod had pinned the deaths on him. Not one to run away from his problems, but not wanting his infant son Kal-El to be compromised, he constructed two space pods to take his wife and son to Earth, a planet he himself had visited decades prior. However, one of the pods failed to launch, and thus Kal-El was sent off, alone. Using a wireless connection, Jor-El and Lara recorded a holographic message for their son onto the pod’s hard drive. As if by Fate, the sun exploded just after Kal-El was out of Kryptonian Space. The blast shattered the planet, sending a wave of rock and stone with Kal-El. This resulted in Earth being hit by a meteor shower, Kal-El’s ship among the rubble.

Kal-El’s ship crashed in the farms of Kansas, and was found by Jonathan and Martha Kent. They brought the ship and the baby back to their farm, hid the ship in the cellar, and then took the baby to child services. After determining the child’s age, they were forced to put him into an orphanage. Since Jonathan and Martha were incapable of having their own child, they returned and adopted Kal-El, giving him the name of Clark Kent.

Clark was not like the other normal children in Smallville. The differences were not immediate to start with, but as he grew he found that he possessed powers and abilities that were far beyond those of his fellow mortal men. Upon graduating from high school, he revealed his abilities to his childhood sweetheart Lana Lang before they separated to go to different colleges. After attending the University of Kansas for four years, majoring in Journalism, Clark decided to go to Africa for the summer before entering the working world. Rebels attacked the city he was stay at, and as he looked over the bloody bodies littering the grounds, he felt extremely guilty for not using his powers for the greater good. He did not return home at the end of that summer -- he started a journey to help people, a quest that took him all over Africa, and up into the Middle East. After five years of this, he decided it was time to return home and help people there.

Clark moved to Metropolis, Maryland, after randomly choosing from a list of the largest cities with populations of more than a million. Shortly after his arrival in Metropolis, Clark noticed the level of orgazined crime in the city, and vowed to vanquish it, thus donning the blue suit and red cape (as seen in Superman Returns). The investigation led him to Lex Luthor, owner of the megaconglomerate Luthor Industries, Inc. Luthor -- a figure he would clash with countless times over the years to come -- managed to be acquitted of all charges.

Over the following years, Clark met with many other superheroes and supervillains, and in Spring 2007, at age 33, he and his fellow heroes formed the Justice League of America.

Okay all, I won't name my sources, but I have received complains from several people that the reason they do not want to join my games is because of the presence of godmodders. So, I say this right here and now, godmodding will NOT be tolerated in my games, at all. If I get more than one complaint about a person godmodding, they're gone -- yes, that even goes for you, Dragon. If you abuse the co-GM status, you lose it.

lol that was the whole reason I didn't jump on Green Lantern. It's hard to not pull a Mary-Sue(look it up) when you can literally create anything you can imagine. Hell it's easier to play Superman then that!

Oh really? Well go ahead and play GL if you wanna. Anything he is capable of in the comics and cartoons, you can do in this rp. There is a difference between godmodding and just playing smart. What Dragon and Tenko often do, that's godmodding. But staying within your character's realistic potential, but playing smart, is perfectly okay. You can make whatever you want with the ring, but then is loses power with each use, and eventually you'll have to recharge it -- that's what balances out the power.

Are we playing pre or post Hal Jordan going nutso? Just wondering if the Yellow anomaly will apply.

Well, seeing as how this is the first gathering of the JLA and Jordan didn't become Parallax until spending quite a bit of time with the JL, I'd say before his nutso period. However, this is our world and we can make it whatever we want. Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, or Guy Gardner, it's up to you.

Not sure what you mean by the yellow thing. I need to go back and do some more research.

For a very long time, power rings were unable to affect objects colored yellow. Lanterns have typically found ways to get around these limitations by affecting objects indirectly. For example, if the Lantern is faced with a yellow gas approaching him, a fan can be created to blow it away since the fan only directly affects the normal air around it, not the gas. Originally, it was believed that the "yellow impurity" was implanted deliberately because the Guardians wanted the rings to have a weakness to prevent a Green Lantern from becoming all-powerful. More recent events have revealed that the "yellow impurity" was in fact caused by a yellow energy being made of pure fear imprisoned in the Central Power Battery. Following the defeat of this creature during Green Lantern: Rebirth (2004), an experienced wielder of a power ring can, with effort, overcome the yellow weakness by recognizing the fear behind it, and facing that fear.[2]

got this off wikipedia.

At any rate, I'm gonna combine some origins ala Superman TAS.

Green Lantern:

When Abin Sur's spaceship crashed on Earth, the alien used his ring to seek out an individual to take his place as Green Lantern: someone who was utterly honest, possessing great will and who could overcome great fear. The ring selected struggling freelance artist Kyle Rayer, empowering him as the Green Lantern of Sector 2814. As the Lantern, Kyle is able to form solid light constructs of whatever his willpower and his near limitless imagination can conjure. Using the ring diminishes the power somewhat and must be recharged at semi-regular intervals, depending on it's use. Recently returned from a training crash course on the Lantern home world of Oa, Kyle is still somewhat new to the hero game and is struggling to find his place among the world's finest.

Do we need to post a bio?
Wally West accidentally got mixed up with some chemicals that were struck by lightening, like his uncle, and then became the fastest man alive. Super fast, sometimes able to break both space, time, and dimensions with his speed.

Has a red suit, with lightning bolts on it. And, a pretty funny guy once you get to know him.

Do you want me to put up a real bio, or is that ok?

The Justice League current roster

Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
Hawkgirl
Black Lightning
Vixen
Arsenal
Black Canary
Green Lantern ( Hal Jordan)

Hey Babysitter, what was the point of posting that? This is an alternate reality where things are a little different, so you don't need to come in here trying to show us how it supposed to be done, as far as the members of the JL. Either make a character or don't post in this thread. Also, the bios for Batman and Flash are just fine.

wowzers.. I thought I'd point out what the current roster was since you didnt seem to know

I wasnt making a commentary, i wasnt poking fun

hell, I was debating joining

but you really need to take that lump of coal out of your ass before it becomes a diamond

No, he didn't mean anything by it Babysitter. Please, don't run off.

Sheesh, our only girl interested in the thread. Come on, you can play Wonder Woman. We need a Wonder Woman, someone who can tie us up to search for the truth.

I knew that was the current roster. When I first offered to be the Flash I looked up that Wikipedia thing and saw that Flash was currently deceased. Well, at least one of them was anyway.

I'm sorry Babysitter, don't let one confused comment ruin your day. Come and play with me, if nothing else. You know I've always missed you.
