Boys and girls...

I have been working on a story or two, one is pending, the other still in the computer.

I've also been reading some of the other stories here and just kind of wonder two things.

First, Some stories are, well shall I say quick. Its hi, bang and by. They read like versions of the penthouse forum pages. "She walked up to me, said hi and we screwed like mad.

She always 38D, he always hung to the ground.

Neither seem to be wearing much and what they do have is tossed within a few sentences.

Is that what most of the readers want?

Or do they want to take it slow.

More foreplay, removal of their clothes, touching each other.

My wife says I should remember how it was when we were young and everything was new. There's a first time for everything, including sex.

I remember the first time I took her bra off. For a 16 year old, that event was burned into my being. There was no sex, but by God, what a night that was!

I recall some of my best date nights never ended with sex, but there wasn't a inch of her body that I did not run my hands or fingers over or touch.

So, what's the best direction to go? Interested in hearing other views.

As with all globe dwellers, all directions are equally valid, but different directions take you to different places.

There is an avid readership for almost every type of writing you can imagine, even the kind you describe. The numbers reading may be different, in some cases by a long way (most read story - 5,900,727 reads, most read poem - 228,703 at the time of posting) but there is an audience there for everything.

I think most readers want descriptive sex, well laid out plots (non-stereotypes) and to feel like they are there. All that takes words while writing, and takes time to read.

I think to trick to writing good stories is to have a sex scene early in the story, even if it is by a flashback or quickie or whatever...and then get into the build up. With so many options on literotica, I think they read a few paragraphs and if it is not going anywhere, then they try another story.

I know when I read stories, if I even see (she was a 38DD, 105 pounds, with blond hair) I know the writer is lazy and go for another story. I want to read stories that break out of the stereotypes.
