Some of the vibe here is negative, but depending on what you are looking for I have found some other sites that are pretty friendly.

The audience
You have to keep in mind the kinds of people that are drawn to a site like this. There are lonely and unhappily married people that believe they can find something here that they can’t in the real world. There are also those who look for opportunities to be negative.
You can’t do anything about these people. You can choose to not respond to them. They will continue to be negative even if you try to convince them otherwise. They just want to be negative at that time.
It is like someone who is angry. When they are angry, they just want to be angry. They don’t want someone to calm them down. In fact, they would prefer if someone makes them more angry or only has negative things to say.
Some people are negative and want others to be negative also.

I have found myself genuinely surprised at how lovely the lit community is, there are some dicks spoiling for a fight on some of the boards but they are easy enough to avoid if you want to.
I agree with others about the negative vibe of the post. As a woman I wouldn’t respond positively to an ad that finished with “I will check back in tomorrow to see if the catch holds any keepers.”. I have too much self respect and if I am honest I find the agressive tone a little scary, or at least I would if I were seriously considering expressing an interest.
Be more open, be a little vulnerable, write an ad that tells the reader something about your interests, what you offer, what you are looking for...
