How long does it take after posting for a story to show?

I would like to post some more of my stories, but the one I posted a few days ago has not appeared. If a story is rejected, is the poster informed? No point in posting more if I'm doing something wrong, or they don't appear.

Cheers.

If the story is rejected, they send you a message about it (I got one once for a story where it wasn't clear enough that the characters were over 18, so I'm sure about that), and Lime is right, I wouldn't even wonder what was going on for a week. I don't seem ever to get a notice that my story has been posted, but either find it on the new story list or else start getting mail from readers about the story I didn't know was posted yet!

Just a thought

Since you are new with only a couple posts to your name -

you might want to choose a new username. Underage = bad, so teenage venus... not a great choice.

I'm not saying this politely, so - yeah. If you're underage, come back when you're 18. Or is it 21?

I'm not saying this politely,
- I'll put that down to your ignorance.

You may like to change your own name, kiddo - .

Where does that leave 'GIRL'? You fancy coming back when your a teenager sweetie! Cos 'girl' to me is "Weenibopper in gymslips."

Teenage is just that - not a girl, but someone under the age of twenty.

I really am a teenage Venus. I drive a fourtrack and can drink legally too. And I can defend myself against persons that jump to conclusions, or say things impolitely too.

Those other guys - Lime and Cherry Blossom were polite. (Obviously ladies.) I treated them as such and appreciated their help.

In your case I may be mistaken, but you appear to me to be an ill-mannered, interfering brat.

If you had worded your suggestion politely I would have given it serious consideration. As it is - with a handle like yours, it seems a typical case of the coalscuttle calling the silverware black.

Hey! I'm friendly though, so if you like to rephrase that politely, I will reply in kind

Mrssublime,

Hi, guess I put my foot in it (as my boyfriend says.) All I can say is lucky guy 'Lime'.

Thanks for the confirmation of age limit. I figured at 19 I qualified. (Wonder if all the '*girl's' know that! [Wicked grin.])

dude

Over reaction much! I'm sorry you took offense, I wasn't trying to be insulting. I'm just not always good at tact.

Hey,
Somebody with the guts to acknowledge a possible error. Guess that finishes the thread then. (Sorry to dissapoint some of you guys out there, ha, ha)

You have a good day, Watergirl. Me - I'm stuck swatting at med school for my surgeon's gown.

props

Do you mind if I call you TV? ;)

Good luck with getting your story posted; bump this thread and let us know when it's up, we all need good stuff to read sometimes! And best wishes with the med school - I'd never have the dedication to do what that takes... one of my best friends is in her residency, and it's like the hospital owns your life!

When I've submitted writings to lit, it seems like my (admittedly lousy, but special to me) poetry goes up much faster than the stories.

Have a good one, TV.

Do you mind if I call you TV?
- Call me what you like - just call, lol.

I got near four years to go (Oh! Jeez)

As for stories: thanks for your good wishes. I fear I have to tone down the ones I write for posting here. lol. (Med school ain't all swatting, ha, ha.)
