Just when you think you've seen it all...

Well, I suppose you could say that at least there weren't any murders amongst the parents like that little-league hockey incident a while back. Maybe they're learning?

what's a girl to do to get your attention?!?! *LOL*

Thaks Lasher

I'm always interested in stories like that. There was one last week in the Indy Star (sorry, they no longer have it available to post the link) about a girl that was on the Kansas Little League team that was more or less outcast by her teammates. The coaches and teammates excluded her in just about everything. She only got to play the minimum, the boys didn't highfive her, didn't include her in their tennis games, etc. The team lost every game they played and by a total run differential of 55-2. People (not the coaches) said that the girl was a good player (why else would she be on the team?). She was described as speedy, solid player and good hitter. It's amazing how some 'adults' act. Those coaches had a great opportunity to teach those boys a wonderful life lesson. They chose not to.

I continually sickens me when people take a regulation that IS supposed to make life fairer, such as title IX, and pervert it for their own gain. Are we really so morally bankrupt?

When I was a mere slip of a girl in junior high school, the most hated sporting event was the yearly field hockey match between the boys and girls.

The girls always won. The boys were handicapped by the fact that they were supposed to be gentlemen; the girls were allowed to act out their aggressions. In a game where each player is armed for murder, there was no contest.

I would like to know what satisfaction the athletes received in the sport, other than a spurious win. I'd really like to know, also, if the parents are 100% satisfied with the victory, or if a little worm of shame is eating at them.

We'll know if more teams start fielding boys.

Damn i wish i went to CLs school uhh not...

Ok Field Hockey where i live is nasty. Girls, boys it doesnt matter its an all out death match.. Of course we were ranked third in the state for 6 yrs so the boys never took it easy on us knowing we could kick their asses. Ive had my nose broken, my toes broken, my knees are screwed, hell i even dislocated my shoulder twice during games. I think that girls and boys should play together but only when it isnt advantageous for one group or the other. God now i miss playing hockey.. Cant wait for my snickerdoodle to be old enough that i can start teaching her the game..
