I pray for the safety of all in Iraq. I want this to end soon with as few lives lost as possible. I want there to be peace and for fathers, mothers, daughters, sons, husbands and wives to come home to those who love them.

But this is the last time I am saying this. I am overwhelmed by the sheer number of threads saying "pray for our soliders" "support our troops". All the sentiments are all wonderful. But I feel guilty for not responding to everyone of them, as if I will be viewed as uncaring. But I find it impossible to say the same thing over and over.

Thats all I have to say on this.

Don't fret, SSK. I've never said one way or the other how I feel about the war. I haven't posted in any of the "bring them home safely" threads. You're not required to state your feelings, and if anyone tries to interpret from what you *haven't* said, then the problem's theirs, not yours.

Thats true Nora. I am not required to do anything. I have many conflicted feelings about our involvement there. I just find it all so sad. Maybe because I have always been in nursing my overriding concern is just for the welfare of everyone. For some reason just saying the same thing over and over loses it's meaning to me.

Yup, I agree. The loss of life is going to be sad no matter what.

I was talking to my mom this weekend, and the one thing I'll say is that I'm happy that people seem to be able to separate the actions of individuals from the actions of government. I don't think we'll see anyone ripping apart the soldiers for doing their job as they've been instructed to do like we saw when the troops came home from Vietnam.

Amen to that... We seemed to have learned something.. and that is a blessing...

I'm pretty glad we've learned that lesson, at least. I wish we would learn the one that says that one doesn't have to buy into jingoistic propaganda in order to be a "good American".

I always believed that good citizens think, read, learn and decide for themselves. Some of us have learned that lesson.

Have I mentioned lately that not only do you have a beautiful face and a hot bod, but you've got a sexy-as-hell mind, too. :D

LOL.. Nora I am just an old lady who has learned that the older she gets the less she really knows... but ain't ashamed to say it..;)

But admitting that you don't know everything and have things left to learn is the hallmark of an open and flexible mind. Ain't nothing sexier than a chunk of grey matter that can do backflips. ;)

Well thank you... I do like exercising the mind...

Now the body is something totally different..:(
