I'm probably not on the right forum for just a simple question. (I'm not annoying you on purpose. Promise... ) But how, in this decadent realm, does one get an avatar? Do I have to have a certain # of posts? Not satisfied by simply posting, the exhibitionist part of me is screaming to be released further!!!

Yep, 100 posts should do it.
Also, you can look into placing a pic in your sig (signature line) as well.

Just start your own thread called building posts and just post time after time to build it up where you can get it done in a short while if you stay at it

I don't know what I want to do so I am satisfied to do it the old fashiond way I slowpost it

Thank you all for responding. I'm going to take my time like Brokenheartedfool. It seems the honest approach. Afterall, I want to be respected in the morning! I remember the day I lost my virgin status, I didn't even know it when it happened. Just logged on one day and there I was, "experienced"! Imagine that! A proud moment indeed!
