Statically, we should represent the population. While I agree it takes a long, flat, or girthy versus short, DD, or skinny to make an average, the bell curve suggestions we're average dicks, both sexes overweight, average height, with disproportionate figures. I guarantee there is not an average one of you out there that hasnt lusted after another average looker. Hell, even the seniors are Adonis and Aphrodite.

We all fantasize. At times, something we can all relate to can be or fuel the fantasy seen a Publix or Kroger each week.

My stories don't lean into the characters' averageness, but none of my characters are ever described in terms of hotness or as good looking. That doesn't mean I don't describe them, but the descriptions I include are judgement-free and without interpretation of aesthetic appeal.

I let the action speak for itself. The reader knows how hot for each other the characters are based on the story and the feelings I describe, not based on superficial physical tropes which not every reader is going to appreciate anyway.

If the story is hot, it's unnecessary to say the characters are hot. And I believe readers will fill in the blanks with something which is hot in their own mind, as far as appearance goes. They can know a character is dark haired without choking on worthless* descriptions of their "raven tresses" and "glossy supermodel highlights," and they can imagine dark hair in a way which is appealing to them.

* I'm not complaining about anyone who does write this way, or saying they're doing it wrong, I'm just saying it would be worthless if I myself were to write like that, because it wouldn't add to my stories.
